Mission, Vision and Values

THE MISSION of religious & spiritual life is to care for the lives of students and the university community through supporting the pursuit of spiritual growth, faith development and religious practice while fostering a campus atmosphere in which members may freely and fully express their beliefs and values.

WE DO THIS THROUGH: • Providing leadership and support to student religious organizations, student leaders and affiliated staff • Offering pastoral & spiritual care in times of celebration, loss & transition • Providing worship and resources to mark special times in the academic and Religious calendars • Offering programs and resources for the exploration of faith, spirituality, and religion as well as of values, ethics and vocation

WE ENVISION a campus community that respects & supports all it’s members in their religious & spiritual growth, exploration & expression.

RSL’S VALUES are built upon the already existing values of the university, the Division of Student Affairs and TCU’s denominational partner, the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). In addition, we value: • Life-giving relationships & transformative communities • Thoughtful reflection, growth and self-awareness • Radical hospitality, acceptance and service to others
