What did you do before you began working in your current position?

I was working as a retail manager in a jewelry store and had my cosmetology license.

What does your typical workday look like?

There are never two days that are the same, and that’s part of the job that I love. I generally spend my day organizing emails, processing paperwork, following task lists set in place and keeping my agents’ calendars clear of the paperwork so they can go out and do more profitable activities.

How would you describe your job in one word?

Rewarding!

Why do you think you excel at your job?

I am a very organized person who can adapt to new situations. The combination of these two characteristics is ideal for my position and has proven to greatly benefit my agents.

What is the most rewarding aspect of your job?

Helping my agents become top producers and achieve goals for their clients. Taking ordinary people and making them extraordinary!

What is the most challenging aspect of your job?

Working with people who are not comfortable with technology. Especially since COVID-19 hit, and everything has been pushed online more than ever, it sometimes takes a little more convincing to get agents and clients to trust technology and online systems.

What is one thing about you that others might find surprising or interesting?

While being a part of the City2Shore Agent Support Team and now as the director, I have helped close over 1,500 transactions.

When you’re not working, what do you like to do for fun?

Trying new restaurants around Grand Rapids, taking my dog to local dog parks, drinking a glass of wine and spending as many weekends as I can traveling around the country.

How do you feel about being nominated as a Behind-the- Scenes All-Star?

So incredibly thankful! It feels so good to work for such amazing people who recognize my team’s hard work. This is one of the best, most encouraging atmospheres I have worked in.

Is there anything else you’d like to share about yourself, about your job or about your relationship with the person who nominated you?

I love being a member of the City2Shore family! Starting in the industry with no previous knowledge of real estate and now being the director of our agent support systems has really proved that they want to help not only their agents but also their staff grow. Being nominated by Chris and Laura Carr means so much — they are such great agents, and it’s so refreshing to see how much they care about their clients. I am very excited to see how my future unfolds at City2Shore and where they can take me professionally.
