by Mr. William Mawhood for the sum of Three Pounds fifteen Shillings during his Inhabitancy in this Parish which was paid in Vestry to Mr. Jacob the Churchwarden for the use of the Poor. There is no record of W.M. , or his family, occupying the pew . 9 Charles Mawhood, Major , 3rd Foot, was W.M.'s first cousin . See Genealogical Table. Gillow , IV. 544 has confused him with W.M.'s second son, Charles , who was not a soldier. 10 The Convent School at Hammersmith . 11W.M.'s impecunious nephew William Semple .
