sions of the peace of our Lord the King held at Petworth in and for the said County of Sussex on Monday the third day of October in the year of our Lord One thousand seven hundred and ninety one,

William Pierpoint of Burton in the said County, Catholic Priest and William Shackleford * of the same place, Gentleman, Persons professing the Roman Catholic Religion did deliver in open Court a Certificate under their Hands certifying to his Majesty's Justices of the Peace there assembled that the place of their Congregation or Assembly for Religious Worship is in the Parish of Burton aforesaid and the same was recorded at the said Sessions in Pursuance of an Act of Parliament passed in the thirty first year of the Reign of his present Majesty intitled " an Act to relieve upon Conditions and under Restrictions the persons therein described from certain Penalties and Disabilities to which Papists or persons professing the popish Religion are by Law Subject , which I hereby certify accordingly.
