counties bordering the Red River and state of Oklahoma: Cooke, Fannin, and Grayson The goal is to build regional economic resiliency through implementation of the Texoma Business Disaster Mitigation Plan developed in 2020-2022 with EDA CARES funding Project Name: “Texoma Regional Resource Center & Collaboration to Build Out an Ecosystem of Tech, Manufacturing and Production” What’s happening now: Texoma region is transforming itself into a key US hub for semiconductor manufacturing (companies are investing over 50 billion in new factories such as GlobiTech, Texas Instruments, II-IV, Samsung Electronics), Incentives by CHIPS ACT
(1) Disseminate regional resource, info, data through educational workshops, social media, and meetings (2) Form a diverse economic development consortium that includes economic development entities, funders, Workforce Solutions Texoma, the SBDC, education institutions and municipalities (3) Create a BR&E plan to assist with employment and promote long term economic sustainability (4) Create an ecosystem of sustainable development of technology manufacturing and production
