State Legislative Update Business Luncheon to be held soon

T

he Texas City-La Marque Chamber of Commerce will host a “State Legislative Update” business luncheon at the Doyle Convention Center in Texas City. Stay tuned to the chamber’s social media pages and website for the date and time! At this informative networking event, attendees will hear from State lawmakers about the 88th Legislative session that runs from January to May. Every other year for 140 days, the Texas Legislature convenes and considers new laws governing the citizenry and businesses

Celebrate the honorees at Women in Leadership Awards luncheon

o help recognize and honor women who are key to the success of local organizations, the Chamber hosts the “Women in Leadership Awards” (WILA) program. Recipients are selected for their leadership qualities in these areas: Integrity, Passion, Humility, Empathy, Fostering collaboration, Servant leadership, Uplifting and adding value to others. Recipients are also selected in each of the following categories: Education, Large Business, Small Business, Women-Owned Business, Non-Profit/ Volunteer and Young Professional.
