Business Showcase + Taste of the Town set for May 19

lan to stop by the Mainland City Centre on Thursday, May 19, to visit with an assortment of local businesses as they display products and services available in the greater Texas City-La Marque community. The Business Showcase will be hosted by the Texas City-La Marque Chamber from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m., May 19, at Mainland City Centre. This event also will include a special Taste of the Town with food and drink samples provided by local restaurants and caterers. You’ll be able to try foods from all of the new eateries at Mainland City Centre plus others from throughout the area. Entry to the Business Showcase is free. In addition to samples of food and giveaways from area businesses, there will be live music and door prizes throughout the event. There also will be an exciting raffle.

he annual Hurricane Forecast & Emergency Preparedness Business Luncheon will be hosted by the Texas City-La Marque Chamber on from 11:30 am to 1 p.m., Wednesday, June 8 at the Doyle Convention Center. The program will deliver the latest information to the community about the hurricane season and essential ways to prepare and protect your business, home and assets. The featured speaker will be Dr. “Hurricane Hal” Needham of CNC

Catastrophe & National Claims. Other speakers will include Emergency Management professionals from the cities of Texas City and La Marque. In addition to vital information to prepare for hurricane season, this luncheon provides a great opportunity for you to network with local business owners, civic leaders and elected officials. A delicious catered lunch is included. The Chamber recognizes the following sponsors for making the event possible: Houston Hurricane & Security Products, City of Texas City, Eastman, Marathon and TNMP. Additional sponsorship opportunities are still available. Tickets and reserved tables are now on sale. Reserved tables for 8 are $250 and individual tickets are $25 for chamber members and $30 for non-member guests.
