Welcome....!

Be positive........
Hey everybody! First off, I would like to wish everyone a very happy Thanksgiving. It doesn ’ t matter that we don ’ t celebrate it, because it ’ s never bad to be a little more thankful. Saying thank you not only boosts your mood by releasing feel-good dopamine, it also helps spread love and kindness. Who wouldn ’ t want that?
Unfortunately, a lot of the time, people are so focused on spreading love and gratitude outwards, that they forget to do the same to themselves. Today, I want to emphasize the importance of thanking yourself.

So, to start off with our first question:
“Why is it so hard to thank yourself sometimes?” My answer would be
“ a noisy brain ” . Being an overthinker, I can tell you all about it. Overthinking can really pull down your energy levels in the weirdest ways. I think about my imperfections, my mistakes, etc. Overall, it ’ s just negative and pulls down your confidence...

It takes a whole lot of strength and determination to stop all those thoughts from barreling in all at once when you don ’ t want them to. So today, I will be sharing some steps to help stop these thoughts, so we can actually start thanking ourselves............
1.Realize that those past mistakes are in the past.
2. I think a lot of the people who hold themselves up to a certain standard definitely understand what I mean. You get fixated on all the past mistakes you made, and you keep evaluating yourself based on high bars close to perfection. We have to realize early on that those mistakes have already been made and can’t be turned back. There’s no point in thinking about it for hours on end and regretting it, since it will never change anyways. All we can do now is stop hating ourselves for being human.

2. Stop worrying about the future.

In relation to the point above, stop worrying about making the same mistakes in the future. First, the future is ever changing. It can take an infinite number of turns, and there is no guarantee that things will go wrong again. Don’t stop yourself from doing something just because you’re scared of making the same mistake. What will come, will come, and you have no way to predict how good or bad it will be.
A small tip: whenever I feel bad or sad, I think about the future, how tomorrow is going to be so much better than today, and how God has allowed today to be bad, so tomorrow can be extra sweet.
3.Live in the moment.
I think the most important point I want to share today is to just live in the moment. When you spend so much time thinking about the past and worrying about the future, you miss all the people passing through your life at this moment, and that’s just going to add to the pile of regrets that you already have. Spend the time loving and caring about the people who are around you now. Even though it sounds super cliche, we should take it one step at a time, one day at a time.
After accomplishing everything above, I believe this is when you can actually be…... …thankful to yourself. By shutting down your overthinking, you can finally start to see the good in life. Always remember to be thankful to yourself. Recognize your own accomplishments and be proud of them. Believe in yourself and thank yourself for trying hard in whatever way each day. Even though life is hard, it is also sweet in the most wonderful ways. Start looking forward to a great future and focus on being thankful and creating more happy moments in the present.

Remember, life will always be filled with its constant ups and downs, but the process of climbing up from the bad will be so much easier when you learn to be thankful to yourself and to others. Surround yourself with things that make you happy and keep those things in mind. And of course, lastly, do not be afraid to shower your love and gratitude outwards. A genuine compliment or word of thanks to the people around you can bring so much joy. :) Happy Thanksgiving! Thank you for reading!
