2025 Shamrock Tennis Tournament Recap
A Smashing Success!
What an unforgettable weekend at the Shamrock Tennis Tournament at Tchefuncta Country Club! With 156 passionate players bringing their Agame, this year’s event was nothing short of spectacular.
Thursday: Perfect tennis weather! Every match went off without a hitch, setting the tone for an incredible tournament.
Friday: We battled hard on the courts… and against the rain! Just as things were rolling, the skies opened up. But thanks to the tireless effort of our crew, squeegees were flying, courts were dried, and play resumed. A few hours lost? No big deal—we powered through!
Saturday: The rain held off for most of the day, but then came the wild winds! After assessing the conditions, we made the call to resume play on Sunday.
Sunday: Pure tennis magic! The sun was shining, the competition was fierce, and we wrapped up an amazing event with epic matches and fantastic sportsmanship.
A HUGE thank you to DJ Mad Linx, every player, volunteer, sponsor, and supporter who made this tournament possible. Your dedication and hard work turned every challenge into a win!
And let’s talk about the silent auction… $16,248.21 raised! WOW! That’s a testament to the generosity and support of our incredible community.

As part of our commitment to keeping you informed and connected with the life of the club, I want to share some bittersweet news After years of dedicated service, Dustin Baker, our Director of Golf, will be moving on to pursue an exciting new opportunity
While it is always difficult to say goodbye to a valued team member, we are deeply grateful for Dustin’s leadership, commitment, and the many contributions he has made to our golf program and the club as a whole

Pool Renovation Update – Week 5
Progress continues at a strong pace as we move through Week 5 of our pool renovation project. This week has focused heavily on the installation of essential plumbing infrastructure. Our construction team has been hard at work trenching and placing the intricate network of pipes that will serve as the backbone for the pool’s water circulation, drainage, and filtration systems. These components are critical for ensuring smooth operation and water quality once the pool is completed.
In addition to plumbing, the crew has been making careful measurements and adjustments to ensure proper placement of all fixtures and lines. The work being done now will directly impact the efficiency and functionality of the pool for years to come, and we’re pleased to report that everything is on schedule. The next steps will include inspections and backfilling, followed by the preparation for gunite application.
