1. What does the Summons contain? Summons stipulates all the details of the case someone is instituting against you. 2. How to defend yourself: It is your legal right to protect yourself in court. As per the court rule, you have ten business days from the receipt of the Summons to inform the Plaintiff that you will defend the case against you. The Summons should contain a point called a Notice of intention to defend. 3.Hire a lawyer for legal help: After informing the Plaintiff about defending yourself, issue a plea and reply to all the questions regarding the allegations against you in the Service of Summons. There are court rules about what an appeal should contain and look like; only a lawyer will be aware of the court practices. 4.Post summons process: After filing the plea, you and the Plaintiff filing case against you will be liable to demand discovery from each other.
