The beginning of the semester has been remarkable, filled with successes and accomplishments. It strengthened our ability to persevere in the face of adversity. However, we will continue to face difficulties in the years to come. Thus, we want to give you extra reasons to continue to prosper through positive journalism.

In light of the array of academic challenges encountered, the studentry maintain a sense of optimism, triumphing over challenges and speeding past their perceived limitations. This magazine issue yields proof that the hurdles encountered are far more than mere difficulties that stimulate improvement; this also serves as a vehicle for the community to express themselves through pro-student reportage and bringing authentic news and information.

Believing in one’s own capabilities would make a huge change towards valiant excellence.

That’s what I got from being part of this outstanding organization, where great minds emerge and aspire toward greatness. Of all the members of this organization, I am the only one who doesn’t have any experience in terms of journalism. Ever since, it has been my dream to be a journalist, a vanguard of truth and change. However, I was being eaten by my fears—fear of failing as a journalist, fear of making mistakes, and fear of being judged by others. Until I got here at TCC, I was invited to join TCC Quill, and I decided to grab Managing Editor the opportunity. I started as a newsthe writer oppin English, and who would’ve thought that this bunch of people would believe in me and put me in a position with big responsibility? They pushed me beyond my limits and inspired me to believe in my inner self. I also thought of resigning due to some significant personal reasons, but with these individuals, I gained the courage to continue. It’s always been like that. Ever since grade school up to Senior High School, my name is consistently listed as one of the top of our class. I felt privileged and honored at first but as I grew older the value of it changed—it became more like nothing. I never failed in my subjects and I almost became an arrogant self-centered human being. I cried over my grades for not surpassing the criteria of my standards and became greedy, I ate more than I could chew until I suffocated and lost the ability to become happy.

Everyone is obsessed with the idea of succeeding in life, but once we never experienced failure we forget how to lose.

We see success as the only possible outcome that is worth little because it is easily reached. When someone who wins all the time suddenly fails, an outburst of fear may occur but as time goes by it will become bearable. We can’t just totally wipe off our fear every time there’s a certain event occurring so instead of eliminating it, one should learn how to dance with it and make it as a compass to find oneself. Fear is all just a mere idea that our brain creates every time we try something new. It protects us from anything unhealthy and stops us from clasping opportunities.

BIGYAN NG ATENSYON KUNG ANO ANG NARARAMDAMAN Kung may parang mali sa isang sitwasyon, huwag natin itong baliwalain. Lahat ng emosyon natin ay tunay. Normal lang na makaramdam tayo ng sakit o pagkadismaya sa isang bagay o tao lalong-lalo na’t nandoon na tayo sa kalagitnaan ng kolehiyo.

Kung pakiramdam natin hindi na tama ang nangyayari, kailangan na nating umaksyon.

Hindi biro ang maging estudyante sa kolehiyo dahil talagang makakaapekto ang kung sino ang at kung ano ang nakapaligid sa'tin. Kaya nararapat lamang na bigyan natin ito ng pansin dahil ang ganitong mga pangyayari ay mas nakakadagdag ng presyur sa ating mga sarili at sa ating pag-aaral.

Kaibigan, mayaman man o mahirap, babae man o lalaki, bata man o matanda, iba-iba man ang ating opinyon ukol dito, masasabi natin na walang insaktong depinisyon kung ano nga ba talaga ang tagumpay.
