This is an opportunity, in the afternoon, for parents to visit campus and see where your son or daughter will spend the year. Several events, with a focus on parents, will be provided to inform parents and students about various aspects of Tabor College. Parents and families are welcome to join their students for dinner at a small cost.
New Student Orientation Weekend
August 15 at 4:30 pm
On August 15, families are welcome to join their students for lunch at a small cost. In the afternoon, there is an Information/Dedication session for students and families. Family farewell takes place at 3:30 pm and New Student Orientation (students only) begins at 4:30 pm. During this weekend, students will be connected with an O-Group (Orientation Group), complete registration and financial settlement, become familiar with Tabor and Hillsboro, make new friends and have some fun playing games. This weekend is full of activities for the new students to engage learning, promote service to others, encourage involvement, and assist with the transition to college.

SCHOOL BREAKS
● Two times per academic year, all students will be required to leave the residence halls: winter break and spring break
● Residence halls close at 5:00 pm the day after classes end
● Residence halls reopen at 12pm (noon) the day before classes resume
Moving back in early to the residence halls or staying an extra night requires prior approval from Student Life. Please see the deadlines for approval above. Submitting a request to stay on campus does not mean your request will be approved. Approvals are intended for a day or two to remain on campus or return early. There will be no approvals for students to remain on campus for the entire winter break when the residence halls are closed. Students should plan to be out of residence halls at normal closure times; approvals are reserved for unique circumstances.
Being in the residence halls before they open or staying an extra night without prior approval from Student Life will result in disciplinary action.
Please take out your room trash before leaving for a break. At the beginning of breaks, the Residential Educators or Facilities staff will enter the rooms to ensure lights are off, windows are closed, and appliances and fans are turned off and unplugged.

Academic Mentoring
The transition to college can be a challenge for some, we are here to help! We are available for students who find themselves in need of additional support to work on time management, study skills, sorting through the transition to college life, and more!
Tutoring Center
Tutoring is a free service available for all Tabor students and is provided through peer tutors. Registration for tutoring is required. Additional times and information are located in the Student Success Office. Questions can be sent to tutoring@tabor.edu.
Disability Services
If you are a student who has a disability or situation that requires academic accommodations, you can contact Student Success directly at studentsuccess@tabor. edu. You will need to provide necessary documentation of disability. Student Success will work with you to identify needed accommodations.
BOOKS
Tabor is blessed to be able to provide rental books to you at no charge! You will be responsible for returning your books at the end of each semester. If a book is not returned, you will be charged a fee for each book not returned. If you would like to purchase a book, the JayShop can assist you. Packing supplies will be available for your convenience in the JayShop and the mailroom. Packaged returns can be dropped off at the mailroom.
Pick up Books
All books can be picked up in the JayShop located in the Student Center on your arrival to campus. The JayShop is open 9-4 Monday through Friday.

CAREER SERVICES
Tabor College’s Career Services department, which is located in the library, offers a variety of services for students. Our desire is to help students find careers where they can use their God-given talents to glorify God. Through collaboration with community partners, employers, alumni, and faculty, we offer Tabor students the opportunities to develop skills that will set them up for success in their chosen careers. We will help students:

TC 101 & 310
Freshmen in TC 101 learn a variety of skills, including time management, schedule preparation, and budget planning. Transfer students in TC 310 will be introduced to the Tabor College community while being prepared for life after college. Both courses include academic major exploration, during which students can meet with department advisors to find a career path that works for them.
On-Campus Job Opportunities
Tabor students can apply for on-campus part-time jobs. Some areas include athletics, food service, office work positions, and more. Scan the QR code to apply!
Teacher Interview Day
Tabor College partners with six other KCAC schools to facilitate Teacher Interview Day. School districts from all over Kansas participate and interview students for their open teaching positions.

3. Find a way that works best for you to stay organized...a planner, phone calendar, to do list. As long as it works for you, that's all that matters!
4. Support your peers in their extracurricular activities. Nearly all of our students are involved in something on campus whether it is athletics, fine arts, Student Senate, and so much more. Get out there and cheer them on in the things your friends are passionate about on campus! Student Success can help with this.

Tabor College Email
Tabor College email is Google-based and can be added to a Gmail app on students' phones. It is key for student success that Tabor's email is accessible and checked daily for events on campus, class updates, and other important information.
Duo
Duo Security is a friendly and secure way for you to log into your applications. The federal government requires that Tabor has multi factor authentication set up for all of their network accounts. Duo Security is a two-factor authentication service that strives to be easy to use and secure. During the enrollment process you will need to install the Duo App on your mobile device following the instructions.
Core Campus
Formally Campus Cafe, Core Campus is an important clearinghouse where students can find their schedules, pay bills, check grades, and much more. To access this website, scan, follow the link on tabor.edu or visit tab-web.scansoftware.com/cafeweb/login.
CSC Pay
This app is necessary for students to take advantage of the 500 FREE wash and dry laundry services that Tabor has to offer during your time as a Tabor student. This app will allow your phone to connect with washers and dryers on campus, to start loads, know which machines are being used and to alert you when your laundry is done. PARKING BASE FINES
Tabor provides free parking here on campus for student vehicles that have both registered and display a current Tabor parking decal. Students are required to park in non-designated parking spaces only. Students are not permitted to park in handicapped spaces (unless proper credentials are displayed), red fire lanes, yellow loading zones or spaces otherwise designated for a specific use (including RE or Facilities parking). If your vehicle is parked in a location it should not be, there will be a citation issued and you will be notified by email about fines added to your student account. Vehicle registration is done during registration as well as throughout the academic year in Student Life. You will need to provide proof of current vehicle insurance, license plate number, color make and model of your vehicle when registering. If you change vehicles during the year, it is the students responsibility to update all the registration information with Student Life.
SPIRITUAL LIFE
Spiritual Formation and Community Life is more than a program. It is a way of living! Our Spiritual Formation programs are designed to cultivate an environment for spiritual growth on our campus. The primary way we promote this is through regularly scheduled chapels each week. Spiritual Formation also oversees small groups and coordinates with departments for missions opportunities.
Small Groups
Bible studies, discipleship groups and student led ministries are also available at various times throughout the week and at various locations on campus. Small group ministries are a place where students can connect and grow as they learn how to follow God together.
CHAPEL
Tabor College holds chapel weekly on Mondays and Wednesdays where staff, faculty and students come together to worship, hear God’s Word, and connect to one another.
Global Outreach
Students have the opportunity to travel to various foreign countries to experience learning and life in a different culture, to do onsite studies, research, or work alongside missionaries as they minister to their communities. We are tentatively planning trips to to Turkey, Europe (Art/History), Europe (Choir-Baltic states), Nepal, Portugal (Business department).
Prayer isn’t meant to be empty words or just a routine we repeat—it’s meant to shape the way we live every day. In Matthew 6:9–13, Jesus gives us a model for prayer that is honest, personal, and deeply connected to real life. This year in chapel, we’ll explore how The Lord’s Prayer teaches us to trust God, seek His kingdom, depend on Him daily, ask for forgiveness, and find strength in every season of life. Because when prayer is real, life begins to change.

Tabor Athletics is a proud member of the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference (KCAC). With 18 teams competing at the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) level, Tabor student-athletes pursue excellence both on the field and in the classroom. Tabor has a strong tradition of choral and instrumental music, as well as theatre. In 2017 the Shari Flaming Center for the Arts was finished. This space houses the Richert Auditorium, Prieb Harder Black Box Theatre, as well as numerous classrooms, studios and event space.
