Orchard Park is a under graduate and graduate student housing project located at UC Davis. The graduate housing componet is inspired by a greenhouse. A fun and eclectic vibe, with medium wood tones, industrial metals, and indoor/outdoor furniture set against an A-frame backdrop. The family concept finds inspiration in a treehouse. The treehouse has strong wood components and highlight shades of green and tree forms. The overal “biophilic design” has a playful, modern vernacular and is meant to connect residents with the ruralness and beauty of nature.
