Hello everyone,
Introduction
Welcome to our special commemorative edition of Target, to celebrate both the fantastic achievement of our people in Tayside Contracts, and the tremendous evening that unfolded just a few weeks ago, to honour them. Unfortunately, I was unable to attend the event personally however, I’ve been advised it was a great success and an evening enjoyed by all.
To every team and every individual who were nominated for an Award, I offer my sincerest congratulations. The entries were all amazing, and I hope our finalists and winners can look through this edition of Target with great pride in what you achieved. Feedback from the evening has been overwhelmingly positive, with many describing it as a memorable and inspiring celebration of teamwork and achievement The event highlighted the very best of what we do, showcasing excellence in public service, collaboration, and forward-thinking approaches that continue to strengthen our organisation.
I had the great pleasure of being involved in the judging process this year, The standard of entries was remarkably high, reflecting the breadth of talent and dedication within our workforce. Each submission demonstrated not only professional excellence but also a genuine commitment to supporting colleagues and delivering meaningful outcomes.
The judging process was both challenging and rewarding, I and my fellow judges were inspired by the quality and diversity of the nominations. Selecting finalists and winners was no easy task, which speaks volumes about the calibre of work being delivered across the organisation. It was great to be kept appraised via the run up through the social media posts and of the successful winners on the night.
Your commitment to what you do, to support our local communities, and helping each other, was absolutely outstanding, and I thank you wholeheartedly for all you have achieved.
I’m sure everyone who was at the TEA Awards ceremony will agree this was a great event, enjoyed by all, and we are indebted to the many months of hard work by our Excellence Awards Project Team, who made this such a magical and memorable evening. And extra special thanks for the people who took the time and great care to nominate your colleagues and teams for awards, without you there would be no finalists or winners!
I'm already looking forward to being blown away by the nominations for next year's Tayside Excellence Awards entries and hope you and your team are going to be nominated. You never know, you may be next year’s winner!
