JULY 2023

IT’S THE SUMMER OF ‘23 THE ENTERTAINMENT COMMITTEE

Summer has arrived. While the construction continues, we are now dining under the stars (or on the rooftop terrace) and said goodbye to the temporary Member Dining in the Ballroom. The TCC staff deserve tremendous appreciation for making the Ballroom into a great, inviting place to dine and still allowing us to have Entertainment events. And if you haven’t yet dined on the rooftop terrace, it’s a great place to enjoy outdoor dining, with a milliondollar view! Once again kudos to all the TCC staff on setting up dining on the rooftop terrace as the construction progresses.

As the summer rolls on with vacations and our space limitations, July is quiet, for now, with respect to Entertainment events. But in August we have a new event planned. Save the Date for the “Chip and Sip” Social Golf Tournament, scheduled for Saturday, August 19th. This is a 9-hole Par 3 tournament, consisting of two person teams, with a

different wine and appetizers at each tee. More information will be forthcoming in the Tavizine.

Also, don’t miss National Dog Day on Saturday, August 26th. Come dine with us al fresco with your furry friend under the tent. Chef Kelly will have a special a la carte dinner menu for you and your dog(s). Plus, all dogs in attendance will receive treats and a water bowl and you’ll receive a complimentary caricature drawing of your dog!

Make sure to watch your Tavizine and the Tavistock News for updates on all events. Periodically we do have “popup” events, such as wine tastings, that you won’t want to miss.

Enjoy the summer. On behalf of the Entertainment Committee, we thank you for your support of the events. As always, if you have any suggestions, we would love to hear from you. See you on the rooftop terrace!
