SPRING HAS SPRUNG WITH THESE POPULAR UPCOMING EVENTS THE ENTERTAINMENT COMMITTEE

As we head into the start of Spring our golf days grow longer, the weather gets warmer, and our entertainment calendar remains as robust as ever. While Tavistock continues with our renovations for the betterment of our membership, the Entertainment Committee continues to bring social events for the entire family.

April kicks off with our Complimentary Wine Tasting. Join us on Wednesday, April 5th. Come taste great wines with friends and make a reservation to stay for dinner. The wine is also available to purchase through the Club at a great value. Easter Sunday is April 9th and always a special event at Tavistock. Our annual Spring Opening will be held this year on Saturday, April 29th with a little twist. We’re going to celebrate with a casual cocktail party featuring a DJ, heavy hors d’oeuvres and stations, as well as an OPEN BAR for the course of the party. This event is open to all members so come out and enjoy the fun!

We jump into May with our popular Derby Day on Saturday, May 6th. This celebration has become an annual tradition at TCC, so make sure to get those hats out, root on your favorite horse, and enjoy our specialty cocktails. Get ready for a new event, a Champagne Dinner on Thursday, May 18th. This unique evening will feature a variety of champagnes from Veuve Clicquot and Moet and a special dinner prepared by Chef Kelly. Come out to enjoy this special opportunity to experience the world’s finest bubblies.

On behalf of the Club and the Entertainment Committee, we would like to extend our appreciation for your patience as we have navigated through Phase II of our Long-Range Master Plan. We have tried to provide you with new events, along with the traditional, and your support has been nothing short of AMAZING! It is you, our membership, who make Tavistock Country Club the social envy of every other club in the Delaware Valley, and for that we THANK YOU.

Welcome to the 2023 Women’s Golf Season! April is here, and it is time to dust off your shoes and clubs! We hope you enjoyed your winter and are ready for a fun golf season ahead. If you haven’t already signed up for one of our women’s golf leagues, it is not too late to do so. We would love you to join us; please call Sue Tindall in the office or email her at stindall@tavistockcc.com to register. Or please attend our annual kick-off meeting on April 4th from 1:30 till 3:00 PM in the Fairway Room.

The Women’s 18-Hole golf season officially starts on Tuesday, April 11 with a 9:00 AM shotgun start. Before our official opening, a pre-season clinic focused on difficult lies will be on Friday, April 7 at 4:30 PM. Please plan to stay for cocktails afterward!

For those women registered to play our GAP matches, there will be team GAP clinics on Thursday, April 6th and 13th at 5:00 PM. The GAP team/ Pro Scramble will be on Thursday, April 20th at 2:00 PM with our GAP Kick-off party post scramble.

Can’t wait to see you on the course!

The Golf Association of Philadelphia official score posting season begins on Saturday, April 1st. Please post all your scores at any of the scoring kiosks located in the golf shop, Men’s and Women’s locker rooms. You may also post your score in the Club’s ForeTees app or by downloading the USGA GHIN app on your smartphone. The posting season goes through Tuesday, November 14th.
