GREERTON LIBRARY OPENING!
The new Greerton Library during construction
THE NEW GREERTON LIBRARY OPENS JULY 15! Greerton’s temporary Library will be permanently closing on Saturday, 11 June so that our library staff can begin the move to the brand new Greerton Library. The new Greerton Library, located on the Village Green, will be opening on Friday, July 15 at 9.30am. Needless to say, the Greerton Library staff are incredibly excited to be moving into the new building, which is coming along beautifully. The bigger, better space will help our Greerton staff provide the same great services, along with a new Learning Centre, a new community space and wifi bar! There will be no facility to return books to Greerton Library between 12 June and 14
July. If you borrowed any items before the Greerton Library closure, don’t worry, books issued from Greerton Library will not be due back during the closed period (12 June – 14 July). If you’d like to return any books between June 12 and July 14, or if you need to get your library fix, you can visit our other branches at Tauranga, Papamoa and Mount Maunganui as well as the Mobile Library. For more information please call 577 7177 or email library@tauranga.govt.nz. We can’t wait to see you at the opening on Friday, July 15 – make sure you come and see us and don’t forget to visit the IlluminArt Light Festival that night (What an exciting day for Greerton!).
