Lego Free Play

A story, some puzzles and 100s of pieces of Lego to build something using your imagination (no kits provided).

House of Science sessions

The House of Science will assist children to investigate 5 exciting Matariki topics; Stars, Kites, Food, Life Cycles and Sound.

Designed for children aged 3 - 6 years. Registration required.

A parent or caregiver must supervise children and some children will require parental help.

For children aged 7 – 12. To register for these sessions please go to mymatariki.co.nz, click on Celebrate Matariki with Science then click on ‘Book Now’ to go to the library events. Then click ‘next’ and enter your details. You will be taken to the page for the next available event. If this is not the one you want, choose ‘0’ then ‘next’ to go to the next event. Continue until you reach the event you want to book for and then enter the number attending. If you have any problems with booking an event, please ring 577 7220 for assistance.

Creative Kites

Maori Myths

Mount Maunganui Library:

Learn about the wonderful world of kites and then use everyday materials to make and decorate your own small kite.

Come and act in a live performance of three local Maori myths or, if you prefer, just sit and watch.
