Join artist Nina Gronw-Lewis for a free family art workshop related to the Behind the Scenes exhibition on 23 September from 2pm – 4pm. In this session, you will explore colourful pocket-sized books.

Behind the Scenes runs with the theme of Somerset Open Studios, looking at artists’ process and practice, featuring a selection of artworks which surveys the breadth of work produced by Somerset Art Works members and the terrain in which Somerset artists now find themselves.

The work will have a sense of change or evolution reflecting the dynamic and profound processes which have affected artist’s practice at this time, accompanied by personal artist statements which provide a unique insight into their thoughts and ideas.

Learn the Rambert Contemporary grades, which cover the basics of contemporary dance, and encourage fun, creativity and physicality through movement. Led by Tabby Somerfield, qualified Rambert teacher.

Create a hand stitched Boro Bag with recycled Japanese Kimono fabrics. Derived from the Japanese term ‘boroboro’ which refers to the practice of reworking textiles, this is a mindful hand stitch technique which can also be applied to all manner of textiles and creations.
