Morris East is a group of creative neighbourhood restaurants with two locations; one in Halifax on Quinpool Road and one in Bedford. Our delicious gourmet pizzas are baked in fired ovens, producing a delicious crust.
Back in 2010, siblings Heather and Christian Rankin created Obladee, a Halifax wine bar – a neighbourhood spot with exceptional wine and food, and genuine service by a highly skilled team.
Propeller Brewing Company has been Halifax’s North End craft brewery since 1997. Propeller focuses on handcrafted, small-batch beer with time-honoured methods that produce distinct, fullbodied tastes and aromas.
Focusing on seasonally fresh ingredients, regulars to our intimate eateries know that the menu changes seasonally. Pizzas with peach, prosciutto, and goat cheese one month, followed by pear, walnut, and crispy sage the next. We’re also a hot spot for seasonally inspired cocktails and great desserts like the salted caramel tart. We offer a special lunch menu. Visit our new retail store in Bedford which sells a delicious range of fresh and frozen chef-prepared items, alongside a range of the locally-made Drink Sprizzi alcoholic spritzers. Take out and gluten-free pizza crusts are also available.
Obladee offers an award-winning wine list that is hand-selected, off-beat, and everchanging, with memorable, regionally sourced food that changes with the seasons. They host live music on Wednesday evenings and offer a wide array of wine education services, from tastings to in-depth courses. Their popular wine & cheese gift boxes make perfect gifts for family, friends and colleagues – with delivery provided throughout the province!
Stop by any of our 4 Prop Shops (Gottingen, Quinpool, Bedford, and Windmill) and choose from our full range of craft beers, craft cocktails and non-alcoholics drinks including our famous Root Beer and Ginger Beer! Seeking some retro arcade vibes? Our Propeller Arcade in the basement of our Gottingen location has a wide variety of games to entertain folks of all ages. Propeller is available at NSLC, ANBL, PEILCC, and NLC. You can also find us in most private liquor stores, and the greatest bars, restaurants, and kitchens the East Coast has to offer.

SALTBOX BREWING COMPANY
363 Main St., Mahone Bay 902-624-0653 www.saltboxbrewingcompany.ca
Like the building of a historic Saltbox house, brewing small batches of quality beer is a deeply rooted expression of heritage and craftsmanship found in Nova Scotia. In those days, most brewing and drinking was done in the home. The resurgence of craft brewing marks a renaissance of the kind of local brewing that took place before the industrial revolution – when making beer was a standard household chore as integral as baking bread. At Saltbox Brewing Company, we celebrate the development of the skills and artistry required to create fresh, fullflavoured beer for consumption by the local community. Our motto: Think social and drink local.

All are made with the finest ingredients and with passion. Visitors can taste any products they wish and learn the fascinating process of creating world class spirits, canned cocktails & beer.
Our primary crops include highbush blueberries (fresh market, processing, and u-pick), strawberries, blackberries, raspberries, onions, and beans. Mrs. MacGregor’s has been delighting shortbread enthusiasts with our delicious shortbreads since 2004. Using a generations-old family recipe, our classic Scottish Shortbread is the heart of our other yummy shortbreads, such as Canadian Maple, Lavender & Lemon, and Chocolate.
Nova Kraut Natural Ferments are created on a small, family run farm in Tatamagouche. We had been fermenting for our family for 10 years and we pursued our farm dreams in 2020. Five years later, Nova Kraut is in stores and markets across Nova Scotia.
The seed of our family-run business was planted in a small Nova Scotia town blessed with ideal conditions for growing wild blueberries. In 1968, Oxford Frozen Foods was a small company with plans to make this delicious fruit the natural pick of consumers around the world. Today, with eight manufacturing facilities and four large farming operations within Atlantic Canada and the United States, we’re the industry leader.
Steinhart Distillery is located along the Northumberland Shore, overlooking Arisaig wharf with a million-dollar view. Thomas Steinhart, master distiller, has made his passion for distilling a reality and shares this passion through tours, tastings, and cocktails. Distilling sessions are offered for those interested in trying their hand at the process.
Every cookie melts in your mouth. Prepared in small batches, we bake with only the finest ingredients, from the creamy butter to the Belgian chocolate. We were honoured when Canadian Living magazine named our shortbread one of Canada’s best, and thrilled when King Charles III and the Queen Consort became fans during their Royal visit! Drop by our shop and taste for yourself!
Although we’ve expanded production since beginning, we stayed true to our roots. All our vegetables are grown in Nova Scotia using organic growing methods. We continue to do all of the processing ourselves and ferment in small, 50 lb batches. No water, vinegar, preservatives, or pasteurization methods are used – just the right balance of fresh vegetables and sea salt, a centuries old process. The final product is a delicious, crunchy, probiotic rich super-food.
We’ve grown to be more than the world’s largest provider of wild blueberries; we’re also one of North America’s largest producers of premium frozen carrots.
Customers can enjoy a delicious local craft beer, wine, cider, spirits, or cocktails, with schnitzels and pasta dishes made from scratch on our patio.
We have become an industry leader by nurturing a reputation for quality and integrity. Oxford’s standard of excellence has led to long term, strategic alliances with suppliers and major customers around the world.

From the freshly caught local lobster, crab, and mussels to steamy bowls of creamy chowder, we offer a treat for all. With the terrific service and friendly atmosphere, The Chowder House is the place to visit on your next trip around the Cabot Trail.
The café also serves lattes that rival those of the finest coffee houses. Whether there for a quick break or a leisurely meal, The Dancing Goat provides a warm, welcoming atmosphere.
Growing up with a dream to farm, we saw an opportunity on Cape Breton Island. We’ve continued to follow our dream and have expanded our operation to include a creamery. The milk, cheese, and gelato sold in our creamery comes from our Jersey’s milk. We milk a small herd of Jersey cows. Jersey milk is unlike any other, as it’s higher in calcium, protein, and butterfat. Our cows are grass-fed, grazing on our pastures. Come visit us to see for yourselves and experience our dairy vending machine or enjoy a pint of our homemade Jersey gelato.

Authentic Seacoast Company (ASC) is known for their award-winning spirits, craft beer, and organic fair-trade coffee as well as their breathtaking oceanside accommodations. Their operations are based in Guysborough, a beautiful seaside village on the Eastern Shore.
It started 30+ years ago with two beehives placed on our farm to pollinate the blueberry fields. That tiny step into beekeeping resulted in a successful pollination and honey that is minimally processed, from the hive to your table.
Their portfolio includes Nova Scotia’s beloved FORTRESS® Rum, SEA FEVER® Rum, GLYNNEVAN® Whisky, RARE BIRD® Craft Beer, VIRGA® vodka and FULL STEAM® Coffee. Glamp in their ocean front Yurts in the Vineyard or stay in their historic DesBarres Manor. They offer endless activities onsite for those seeking adventure! Soak in a wood-fired hot tub, kayak in the cove, taste a selection of their fine spirits at the distillery and more.

The family farm continues today, with youngest son Benjamin looking after 500+ beehives while Margaret produces and markets our honey products. In addition to liquid and creamed honey, we offer honeycomb (seasonal), honey butters, cranberry chutney, Salted and Sweet Heat honey, plus gluten-free Bee Sting BBQ Sauce and Honey Mustard – all sweetened with honey and made in small batches with care. While husband Wayne makes deliveries to the various retailers throughout Nova Scotia, Margaret can be found weekly at the Antigonish Farmers’ Market.
