SYNOPSIS All of London is barking about this exciting adaptation of the classic Disney animated feature 101 Dalmatians. Join Roger, Anita, Pongo, Perdita and their pups as they race their way through madcap adventures and thwart the villainous Cruella De Vil. Adapted especially for young performers, this musical includes favorite Disney songs including “Cruella De Vil” and “Dalmatian Plantation.” With colorful characters and irresistible songs, 101 Dalmatians KIDS is sure to be a crowd-pleaser for all ages!
DIRECTOR’S NOTES The 5th grade students shined for their ability to fully produce a great musical during unprecedented times. In the midst of this pandemic, each students learned many tools and contributed their creative ideas on how to make a great musical. These extraordinary students never gave up and opened themselves to new possibilities with unbounded creativity. As I reflect on the school year, I have give approbation to our students resiliency during these difficult times. Sometimes, people can fail when they are not flexible and can’t adapt to their current circumstances. Their chain of thought might come down to “it has always been done this way.” However, always know that you should never think that way. Never before had the Theater Industry endure such changes. Nevertheless, I can proudly say that every student, teacher, and staff member involved were able to execute their responsibilities in a sublime manner. For all these reasons, I feel honored and proud of all the work done by the 5th graders as well as the VAPA team. Taking on this challenge and continuing, even in the face of adversity, are admirable traits. My heartfelt thanks to all and my best wishes to every 5th grader! Strong Alone, Unstoppable together!
