This is the dry season with clear skies, warm days and spectacular sunsets. Surrounded by prolific wildlife, prepare to be fully immersed, mind, body, and soul, in this unforgettablejourney.

Tasimba is unique in so many ways. You will enjoy a superb safari camp in a vast private wilderness for a full, uninterrupted week. Africa's most highly qualified guides, specially selected for our Tasimba safaris, will captivate you with the wonders of nature. And, each day there will be activities to immerse you yet more deeply in local culture and this amazing wilderness.

Our guests consistently describe their experience as amazing, thoughtfully curated, superbly executed and exceeding all their expectations. Come, see for yourself!

We look forward to welcoming you to Tasimba! Hugh Coppen I Heather

Victoria Falls

MOSI-OA-TUNYA 'THE SMOKE THAT THUNDERS'

Our Tasimba Signature Safari starts at Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe - the world's greatest waterfall that should be on every 'must see' list!

Victoria Falls, over a mile wide and 350 feet deep, is the world's largest sheet of falling water and earns its rightful place as one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World. It istrulyspectacular!

The local Lozi people have always known the Falls as Mosi-oa-Tunya, 'the smoke that thunders'. This is because the mist rises above the Falls up to 1,500 ft. and the thunderous sound can be heard for milesaround.

On this safari, you will be there when the Falls is at its peak annual flood. It is a magnificent sight at any time of year, andin Aprilitwillreallytakeyourbreathaway!

The Victoria Falls area offers you a wide range of wonderful activities ranging from a romantic sunset cruise on the river above the Falls, to adrenaline-pumping bungee jumping or ziplining in the gorge. Otherwise just enjoy a lazy afternoon wandering the many craft shops or bythepoolatyour hotel in the warmZimbabwe sun.

We're happy to arrange any activities you choose to make your stay here more enjoyable!

Little Makalolo

LUXURY IN THE BUSH

Little Mak, as the locals fondly call it, is the luxury camp we specially selected for this Tasimba Signature Safari. It is charming and intimate with a serene sense of seclusion and remoteness. Makalolo, meaning 'people of the plains', is the name of a Lozitribe.

Little Mak is situated in a vast private wilderness, and our guests have sole occupancy of the camp for the entire week you are here. It's just us and no-one else! This exclusivity, in camp and on safari, is unique to Tasimba and enables you be more deeply immersed in the unspoilednature all around you.

Nestled into the tree-line, the newly-refurbished camp overlooks a productive waterhole that draws large numbers of wildlife. Elephant, buffalo, giraffe, impala and zebra are frequent visitors, while other regular sightings include lion, cheetah and painted dogs.

The six traditional-style tents are spacious and en-suite, all with indoor and outdoor showers. Sumptuous meals and drinks are served al fresco on the deck in the main area looking out over the waterhole and the beautiful savannah. The open firepit under a billion stars inspires many traditional campfire tales.

Immersed in Nature

In our vast, private wilderness, you will feel closer to nature than perhaps ever before. The beauty around you is raw and unspoiled and immersed in it, all of your senses are awakened.

On every one of the seven days you are with us, you will feel your heart beat to the rhythm of the wilderness. Even though we will follow a similar program most days, game viewing and other events guarantee that no two days are ever the same!

Each day, led by the amazing wisdom of Africa's most qualified wildlife Guides, breathtaking wild and bird life sightings and unique experiences await you. Because they are with you for an entire week, the Guides are able to take you on a far deeper immersion into nature than is possible for the vast majority of guests who only stay for two or three days.

Your time in camp is a leisurely dance between game drives; 'Africa Time' (a couple of hours mid-afternoon to allow the wilderness experience to soak into your soul); cultural activities and decadent meal times all of course peppered with interactive conversations and laughter. You'll find that there's something new and interesting every single day.

Our Tasimba safari truly is a deep immersion in nature.

The Gift of Tillle

One of the many totally unique aspects of a Tasimba safari is that we spend seven uninterrupted days in sole occupancy of our beautiful safari camp. You will truly start to feel that this luxurious place is your 'home in the bush.'

On most other safaris, after just a couple of days, guests pack up and move on to another camp for another couple of days. We don't like to waste your precious time on traveling from one camp to anotherespecially as we have everything for your unforgettable safari right here!

You'll be amazed at the difference it makes. In seven days you have time to watch, to listen and to observe how these beautiful animals interact. At the same time, the guides get to know you personally and are able to take you deeper still into nature's secrets. Not only that, but you'll get to know and engage with the delightfully warm, fun-loving camp staff.

The gift of time also enables us to enjoy a full day's visit to a nearby rural village for an authentic cultural immersion. There you'll meet the village Headman, visit the basket-weaving center, clinic and agricultural farm and spend magical time with children at the village Primary School - an unforgettable highlight of every Tasimba week.

The precious gift of time on safari - Tasimba makes it uniquely yours.

Indaba

AN AFRICAN TRADITION

The lndaba has been at the core of African culture from time immemorial. It is a meeting of village or Clan elders, gathered around, usually in the shade of a tree, for deep conversations on affairs of importance.

True to tradition, such inspirational daily indabas are at the very heart of the Tasimba Safari Experience. Sitting in a circle out in the wilderness, far from camp, we share insights and reflections sparked by our time in the bush. The discussions always become deeper and more thoughtful as the week goes on.

In the serenity of nature, we weave a connected theme through our lndabas each day. Our purpose is to stimulate your passion and purpose that will inspire you to create your own impact on those you touch in your life.

Topics discussed in our lndabas often continue in conversations at mealtimes, on the safari vehicles or around the campfire.

Our lndabas are indeed another aspect of the Tasimba Safari Experience that truly distinguish us from other safaris.
