Tasblock Advantages Durable and long lasting

Rust free

Tasblock material is chemically stable and does not lose its strength and physical properties over time. It has a longer lifespan compared to traditional materials such as steel, concrete, wood and plastics.

It does not oxidize and lasts longer than steel even in harsh atmospheric conditions.

Water proof Corrosion resistant It does not corrode and lose matter on its surface over time.

It is water impermeable and can stay soaked in water for long periods of time without absorbing it.

Thermally insulating Electrically insulating It is dielectric. Does not conduct electricity.

Heat resistant Typical of thermoset materials, Tasblock material keeps its shape and physical properties under extreme heat.

Unlike metals, Tasblock material is a weak conductor of heat and has good insulating properties.

Acid, alkaline and solvent resistant It is chemically inert, and resists strong acid and alkaline chemicals. It does not dissolve in solvents.

Seawater resistant

Stable shape and size

It is not affected by salty seawater even in long periods of time.

Does not expand or shrink with temperature changes. Does not develop cracks due to thermal expansion.

UV stable

Absorbs and dampens vibrations

Tasblock material resists to degradation caused by UV light. Unlike plastic, it retains its strength and colour

Structures with Tasblock material absorb and dampen vibrations.

Environmentally friendly Takes less energy to produce compared to steel and concrete. Tasblock material is made of natural minerals such as calcium and silica, and a synthetic resin is used as binder.

Colour customization Tasblock material can be manufactured to any desired colour. It also can be painted with a wide variety of paints.

Light weight Does not have a smell Since it is cchemically stable, it does not emit any solvents or smell.

It has a good weight to strength ratio. Being light makes it relatively easier to handle, thus reducing the risk of accidents. Most parts can be carried by a single person which reduces transportation costs.

Flexible design options Can be designed and manufactured in any shape or surface texture. The thickness of material can be adjusted to required level of strength.

Workable Tasblock material can be cut, drilled, sanded, and glued.

Termite proof Easy installation Tasblock products can be installed with simple hand tools, thus saving time and costs.

Lower risk of being stolen It does not melt with heat like metals and plastics, so it is not salvageable with traditional methods. Unlike metal versions, Tasblock products are not target of theft.

Unlike wood, Tasblock material is not prone to termite damage. Tasblock buildings are not affected by pest damage.

Anti-moss Tasblock material prevents the growth of moss, algea and lichens. These organisms cover the surface of wood and stone over time, but Tasblock material does not allow these organisms to hold on and grow on its surface.

The main purpose of tactile pavings is to warn the visually impaired of an impending change in elevation such as railway platforms, pedestrian crossings, staircase ascent-descent areas and other foot traffic applications. Tasblock’s tactile pavings bear a durable pigmented colour to prevent fading with time. Yellow , which is in line with international standards, is used to provide good contrast with surrounding areas to assist and guide partially-sighted people. Protruding stripes and blisters help visually disabled people to feel and navigate the pavement through their design, colour and the sound they make by the touch of the walking cane. Tasblock’s tactile pavings are approved by GAUN (National Accessibility Movement).

Tasblock’s floral-pattern Tree Grates come with two sections: an inner center ring and an outer ring which are designed to accommodate the various stages of tree growth. As the tree matures, the inner center ring can be changed to fit the changing needs of the tree trunk.

Achievements Tasblock has been transforming the city and creating a better living space for years. Since 2016 in Jakarta alone, we have installed more than 390 kilometres of tactile paving, 6,000 units of benches and 30,000 bollards.
