Helping to build our world Cement is essential to construction today. At Blue Circle we are actively playing our part in its decarbonisation. • Our plastic packaging currently uses up to 50% recycled plastics in our weatherproof packaging. • We are trialing 60% and 80% recycled content packaging. • Throughout ’24 we will be upgrading our packed cement RTU to reduce the carbon emissions by 15% per bag. • All electricity used in our manufacture is from renewable sources. • Our transport optimisation is reducing carbon emissions and is currently equivalent to removing the carbon from 1400 deliveries. • We are targeting Net Zero. We were the first manufacturer to launch 50% recycled plastic packs and we are active in targeting the removal of waste. Our Mastercrete cement is delivered without shrink wrap packaging supporting a circular approach to waste.
