Eric Hamber School was a unique secondary school which is located in Vancouver. That was the biggest secondary school in Vancouver and it was designed in 4 story and the total gross floor area was more than 90,000 ft2
The ground floor contained an entrance lobby, common areas, shops, attlethic, auditorium, and home EC.
The class rooms and labs are located on 2nd & 3rd floor and a daycare on 4th floor.
This school was unique according to its professional learning and education system that prepared the students to join the labour market.
I worked on this project as an Architectural Intern and some of my roles were:
- Assisted in design floor plans, elevations and worked on preparation of presentation drawings and modeling as well as interior designing.
- Developed and prepared the construction documents.
- Coordination and collaboration with consultants and prime contractors.
- Worked on BCBC and VBBL in collaboration with code consultant.
