November 1st, 2023 Dear Tapatio Springs Club Member, On behalf of everyone at Tapatio Springs, I want to wish you and your family’s peace, joy and prosperity in the upcoming year. As we get ready to close out 2023 with our approaching Holiday Season, I hope you are able to spend time with your loved ones, creating new memories, and celebrating those from years past. We hope you will also think about the special memories made here at the Club and give thanks to all the incredible employees that make up the Tapatio family. Our staff take immense pride in knowing their hard work and positive attitude are crucial to creating this wonderful environment for you throughout the year.We are truly appreciative of our dedicated Staff Members who come to work each day out to take care of our Members. At this time, we would like to offer the opportunity to say thank you to all these wonderful employees through a donation to the Employee Holiday Fund. The Holiday Fund is distributed to Club employees based on tenure and hours worked last year (excluding managers). You are invited, but not required, to contribute to this fund and help promote a sense of pride among the team while providing a brighter Holiday for Club Employees. To make this process as easy as possible, a small contribution will automatically be added to your December 1st, 2023 statement. The program this month is Dr. Ron Martinelli, a nationally renowned forensic criminologist, best selling author, law enforcement expert and a certified medical investigator. He is also a retired San Jose police department detective. He and his team have been involved in many high profile cases such as Rodney King, George Zimmerman, and mass shootings. His crime scene investigations, skills and training, have made him referred to by the legal and forensic community as the “expert’s expert.” He has appeared on FOX, CNN, BBC and other media outlets. He is also the author of the Wade Justus Texas Ranger detective mystery series and he wrote “The Truth Behind the Black Lives Matter Movement and the War on Police.” Let’s turn out to hear this fascinating information. The PRoper Way A word from the Pro Hello Tapatio Members!
I hope everyone is enjoying the cooler temperatures after another recordbreaking summer. Our greens are better than ever, so huge kudos to Eric Floyd and his team in Golf Course Maintenance. As we move into the time of year with shorter days, we will have fewer “prime” tee times available simply due to limited daylight. I wanted to take this opportunity to ask for everyone’s help with our tee sheet. There have been several instances of “no-shows” or last-minute cancelled member tee times (especially on weekends). Please be mindful of your bookings, and only book tee times that you know will be used, and only for the number of players that will be playing. There have been many instances of foursomes being booked, but only one or two players arrive. If you’re only going to be two players, please book as a twosome. We have many members that want to play golf, and tee times can be tough to get, so out of respect for your fellow members, please only book what is necessary and give us as much notice as possible if you will not be using your tee time. I know of other clubs that charge a “no-show fee”. I don’t want to get to that point, but it does deserve some consideration. Thank you in advance for your cooperation. TAPATIO TALK

Huge shout out TO savannah! After helping lead the St. Mary's University Women's Golf team to the title at the Midwestern State Fall Invitational, freshman Savannah Dupre was named to the Lone Star Conference Co-Golfer of the Week, earning the award for the first time in her career. After Olivia Mitchell of Dallas Baptist and Dupre each carded red-hot final rounds of 68 to finish tied at 217, Mitchell outlasted Dupre in a three-hole playoff to win the individual title while Dupre's play helped fuel a team crown. The 68-stroke third rounds by each set a MSU Invitational record and the pair's one-over 217 were the best 54-hole marks for the event. Dupre tied the St. Mary's record for lowest round shot by a freshman as she helped the Rattlers to the team win. SAVANNAH dUPRE IS a key MEMBER of our pro shop and Someone who has been playing our course with her parents for many years. congratulations from everyone here at tapatio!
