Introducing our Executive Chef Skyler Hollis Chef Skyler Hollis is a true Texas native. Growing up in Castroville, TX his flavors and culinary style embody all things Hill Country. A true craftsman, he believes in making memories and bringing people together with amazing food, perfectly curated drinks and genuine service. Chef has extensive experience working in award winning restaurants and hotels in and around San Antonio including Bohanan’s Prime Steaks and Seafood Downtown, Oak Valley Vineyards in Garden Ridge and the JW Marriott Hill Country Resort. Chef Skyler and his wife Laura are excited to be part of the Tapatio family along with his kids, Huxley and Kyndal, and their beloved Dachshund Rocket.

2024 POLICY &FEE CHANGES

Dear Members, As we have previously communicated, costs have gone up universally in the last few years. We have done our best to be mindful of our costs to keep the service and benefit levels the same without raising prices over the last several years. Yet, the time has come where to sustain the same quality of service and Membership Benefits, we will have to make some changes in our policies and fee structures.

POLICY CHANGES FOR 2024 Monthly Statements for Membership Dues and Member Charges transition to ACH With the ever-increasing fees related to using credit cards, The Club At Tapatio Springs will transition to ACH (fee-free) to settle all member statements on the 1st of each month. Should the Member want to use their credit/debit card, there will be a 3% fee applied to settle charges on the 1st of each month. To prevent card fees from being charged on the January statement, we ask that each member choosing to move to ACH please complete the following form no later than December 29, 2023:

The Club at Tapatio Springs - Membership ACH Form IMPORTANT- We want to ensure you have the most convenient options for making payments at our clubhouse. Please be aware that there is a 3% fee applied to all automatic payments made by credit card or debit card. Whether it's through our online system, at the counter, or over the phone with Irma in Accounting. If you prefer to use cash, check, or are on ACH, you won't incur any additional fees.

Bi-Annual Food & Beverage Minimum Spend Beginning January 1st, 2024, the Club will be implementing a $600.00 Bi-Annual food & beverage minimum spend amount. What does this mean for you? Members will be required to spend at a minimum, $600.00 every 6 months in food and beverage at The Club. This can be a combination of La Cascada Table & Bar, Double L Pool Bar & Grill, La Tienda, and the golf course Beverage Carts. Every 6 months Member accounts will be reviewed for a spend amount of $600.00, which is recommended to be charged to your member account. Example - from January 1st, 2024 to June 30, 2024, if your spend amount is less than $600.00 your account will be billed for the difference. Same will apply for July 1, 2024 – December 31, 2024, and thereafter. Holiday Brunches, Private Banquet events, Pool Birthday Parties do not apply. So come eat, drink and be merry at the Club or take some of our delicious dinners home for carry out. TAPATIO TALK

A WORD FROM THE PRO

Hello, Tapatio Members! It’s hard to believe that we’re almost in 2024! I hope you all had a great Holiday Season and were able to celebrate with loved ones. I wanted to update everyone on the golf course and cart situation. As you know, we have had the Cart Path Only restriction for most of the last two years due to the excessive drought conditions. With as much stress as the root system has had during the drought, we have been hesitant to release carts to 90-degrees to protect the turf and playing conditions. While we are getting some much-needed rain finally, the fairways will not be growing and filling in anymore. In the best interest of playing conditions moving forward, we will likely keep the restrictions through the winter. Fortunately, the experts are calling for an El Nino weather pattern and a very wet winter.If they are correct, we should be headed into the Spring growing season with our lakes full and we will be able to return to normal with the 90-degree rule. I know it’s been a long time, and it’s not the most convenient way to play golf, but many of you have expressed gratitude for us protecting the golf course and future playing conditions and I appreciate that. We will always do what’s best for the golf course. If you remember earlier this year, we were able to purchase greens covers to have in case of long-term freezes during the winter. We are ready to deploy those covers when a multiple-day freeze is expected. Please keep in mind that, depending on the timing of the weather event, we will close the course before the freezing temperatures arrive, as it will take several hours for our staff to cover all of the greens. This process should make a huge impact on the green conditions through the winter months and make the Spring transition smoother.
