THE LION'S DEN
SEASAC Badminton 2025

Following last year’s success, the challenge of matching that achievement loomed large.
Both our boys' and girls' teams approached each match with confidence and determination, fully believing in their ability to win. However, despite their unwavering effort, luck was not on our side, with several tightly contested matches slipping just out of reach.
That said, nothing can take away from the incredible effort and commitment displayed by our players. On and off the court, they stood by one another, offering constant support and encouragement.
A special congratulations to Ayush P and Ruby F, our well-deserving MVPs of the tournament!
With lessons learned and renewed motivation, we’re back to the drawing boardready to make a strong push for Division 1 next season!

Singapore National Age Group (SNAG) Championships
The Merlions made a huge splash at the highly competitive Singapore National Age Group (SNAG) Championships last week at the OCBC Aquatic Centre. Over six intense days of heats and finals, every single one of our 30 swimmers achieved at least one personal best (PB), with the team securing the most finals appearances in its history a phenomenal achievement for our program.
Nathalie R led the charge with a phenomenal week in the pool. She clocked PBs in 6 of her 7 individual finals, breaking six school records, and taking home:
Gold in the 50m and 100m Freestyle
 Silver in the 200m Freestyle
 Bronze in the 50m Butterfly
Plus three 4th-place finishes in the 15-17 years age group
Her times of 26.10 (50m Free) and 57.18 (100m Free) saw her competing stride-for-stride with Olympic-level athletes in the open field—well done Nathalie!
Eloise L followed up her stellar SEASAC form with more PBs in her favourite Breaststroke events, with;
Broke her own school record in the 50m Breast (32.98) to win Gold
Finished 4th in the 100m Breast (1:14.05, school record)
In her 50m race Eloise claimed 2nd in the Open Final behind a visiting foreign, finishing as the fastest Singapore-based swimmer in the event.

Junior Merlions Swim Gala

The Merlions team had yet another successful house gala last week with over 150 participants. The competition between houses were closer this time as many of them were achieving personal best times. Overall, it was a great event for both parents to watch their kids race, and for kids to race their hearts out.
Many of them were all smiles at the end of the day.
