THE LION'S DEN Gymnastics Camp This October half-term our competitive gymnasts enjoyed a gymnastics camp that took them beyond the gym. The camp included activities such as, rock climbing, swimming, ice baths, and trampolining, each designed to challenge and develop their physical capabilities. Furthermore, two specialised clinics proved to be the highlight of the camp. The first clinic, led by a Level 2 Trampoline coach, elevated their trampolining skills, while the second clinic was a rare opportunity to learn from an ex-Olympic gymnast and the first Singaporean gymnast to qualify for the Olympics in artistic gymnastics. This comprehensive experience left a lasting impression on our young gymnasts, equipping them with not only enhanced athletic abilities but also valuable life skills.

THE LION'S DEN Monster Camp The Merlions hosted their inaugural ‘Monster Camp’ in the first week of the holidays, 16-20th. 115 students participated from the Learn to Swim level, all Junior Squads and our Senior students preparing for end of term trips to Bangkok for Feeding Frenzy and Perth for the WA State Championships. The Camp featured clinics from Asian Games medallist Tzen Wei Teong, 2014 NCAA Champion for Michigan, Kyle Duckitt, and Australian sprinter Millie Loughnan. The senior swimmers also completed sessions in S&C and Yoga and team activities of rock climbing, gymnastics and the ice bath, and finished the week with a fulfilling Merlions Team Breakfast. Thank you to our staff for their tireless work and to all the families that attended.
