Dover's PX Invitational
The Merlions kicked off their racing season with 108 swimmers competing at UWC Dover’s PX Invitational - their first meet of the year.
This Introductory Racing Meet served as a valuable starting point, helping swimmers and coaches assess current form, identify focus areas, and prepare for next week’s Gala before moving into the major Targeted Competitions in November and beyond.
Performance Squad shone with some outstanding results. Nathalie continued her strong form, setting personal bests and new school records in both the 50–100m Butterfly and 50–100m Freestyle. Casha, Forrest, Chloe, and Eloise collected an impressive haul of medals, many of them gold. Newcomers Louisa and Naya made an immediate impact with PBs, while Harvey, Ryan, Eric, Josh, and Michael also clocked multiple best times across the weekend.
The Competitive Squad also opened their year with great performances. Maya led the way with two medals in the breaststroke events, while Penny, Gabby, Olivia, Isabelle, Ella, Amelie, Billy, Nick, and Ives all impressed in finals. UWC Dover's PX Invitational
The Junior Squad made history with a record 38 participants their largest team to date. Together, they achieved an incredible 98% personal best rate. Their growing confidence in warm-ups and marshalling was evident, and this will only improve as they gain more racing opportunities throughout the year.

The Super 7s competition also continues to grow in strength, with our boys teams enjoying a fantastic start and remaining unbeaten in the opening rounds.
Next week, our U15s will take on Scarborough from Perth a fantastic opportunity and a real benchmark for the squad.
This Thursday, we are excited to host our very first U12 competition here at Tanglin.
We look forward to welcoming all visiting teams and expect a fun afternoon of rugby!
