Congratulations to our Tanglin netballers on their outstanding performances at the Tanglin Lions Netball Tournament this past weekend! Competing against top-tier teams from Singapore, Malaysia, and Hong Kong, all three squads demonstrated remarkable skill, determination, and teamwork, making us incredibly proud.
The 16A squad had an exceptional run, playing a total of 11 matches on Saturday. Their winning streak throughout the tournament was a testament to their hard work and dedication. In a thrilling final against Singapore Netball Academy, they secured a well-deserved victory with a score of 15-12, earning the title of 16&U champions.
The 19A squad showcased their talent and resilience throughout the day, delivering a series of impressive performances. Their hard work led them to the final against Dulwich, a match that proved to be an intense and closely contested battle. Despite their tremendous effort, Dulwich managed to edge ahead to take gold. Nevertheless, the Tanglin girls should be incredibly proud of their performance and sportsmanship.

Tanglin Lions Netball Championship 2025
Our 19B squad, one of the youngest teams competing in the 19&U category, displayed commendable teamwork and adaptability despite having limited time to prepare. They played with great spirit and determination, making it to the Plate Final against EJC. Their performance and growth throughout the tournament was rewarding to see.
A huge well done to all the players, coaches, and supporters for making this an unforgettable Lions Netball Tournament at Tanglin. Your hard work, passion, and perseverance have set a high standard for the future.

SEASAC Gymnastics Championships 2025
Our Tanglin Lions gymnasts competed at the SEASAC Gymnastics Championships, hosted by Bangkok Patana School in Bangkok, Thailand last weekend (13-16 March). Over 170 gymnasts from 9 international schools across the region gathered for the event, showcasing exceptional talent and fierce competition.
Tanglin sent a team of 24 students from Year 5 to Year 9, competing in the WAG Level 5, 6, 8 and MAG Level 3 & 4 categories.
The competition highlighted the dedication and skill of our athletes, and we are incredibly proud of their performances. Several gymnasts stood out for their remarkable skill, fight, and determination.
The team was led by Mrs. Katy Martin and supported by C Joy. Congratulations to all our gymnasts and coaches for t this prestigious competition!

Junior Singapore Nationals Age Group Championships
A team of 15 swimmers represented Tanglin Merlions at the Singapore Nationals Age Group Championships last weekend. These swimmers have participated in numerous swim meets held at the OCBC Aquatics Centre now, and their experience and knowledge of the sport really helped them progress to this level.

Tanglin Climbing Team Shines at ISCL Finals
The Tanglin Climbing Team has once again proven their mettle, finishing the International Schools Climbing League (ISCL) season on a high note. After five gruelling rounds of competition, the climbers celebrated with a medals, prizes and food at the Gala dinner. The dedication, perseverance, and skill displayed by our climbers throughout the season have been nothing short of inspiring.
The final round of the ISCL was a thrilling culmination of months of hard work held at French School. The team secured an impressive second-place finish in the event, marking their highest achievement of the team this year. Tanglin’s climbers delivered outstanding performances, with several students earning medals in their respective categories:
Youth B Boys: 1st - Bertie C (8Ax)
Youth A Girls: 3rd - Heloise I (9Wy)
Junior Boys: 1st - Dan-Ru L (11Cn) and 2nd - James M (11Cn)
These results are a testament to the team’s unwavering commitment and consistent highlevel performance across all five events. The ISCL is not just about individual rounds; it’s a test of endurance, skill, and determination over the entire season.
