Tanglin Lions Gymnastics Showcase

What a showstopper!

The Tanglin Lions Gymnastics Showcase dazzled a full house, delivering a breathtaking display of talent, teamwork, and tenacity. With over 300 gymnasts taking part, from the tiniest tumblers in our Junior squads to the polished, high-energy routines of our Senior gymnasts, every performance lit up the floor.

Spectators were treated to gravity-defying tumbles, elegant floor choreography, and heart-pounding moments of skill and strength. The highlight of the night? A surprise grand finale starring our very own coaches, showing the crowd that the passion for gymnastics runs right through the Tanglin family.

Huge congratulations to all our incredible gymnasts on a phenomenal year, you’ve made us proud!

Tanglin Speed Climbing Competition

On the morning of Saturday, 14th June, we hosted a speed climbing competition on The Centenary Building climbing wall. The left lane of the wall is fitted with the official holds used in Olympic competitions. placed in the exact position and orientation seen on speed lanes worldwide.

This allows our students to directly compare their times with those of Olympic athletes. The route is graded at 6b, making it moderately challenging. Success on this climb relies heavily on muscle memory and the ability to execute a sequence of powerful moves with precision and consistency.

Throughout the morning, students had multiple attempts, gradually increasing their speed and improving their times. Juliet F (11Pt) recorded the fastest time among the girls, while James Mc (11Cn) clocked the fastest overall time of the day. Completing the 15metre route in an impressive 17.6 seconds! For reference, the current staff record stands at 37.38 seconds.
