THE LION’S DEN Adam Peaty Masterclass Clinics Tanglin Trust School was delighted to welcome Olympic Champion and World Record Holder Adam Peaty for two exclusive swimming masterclass clinics, with 75 Merlions students taking part across separate Junior and Senior sessions. Our swimmers had the fantastic opportunity to meet Adam, see his Olympic gold medal up close, and learn from one of the greatest swimmers of all time. The clinics focused on the details that make a difference in racing, including dives, turns and race skills. For our Senior swimmers, Adam was joined by Head Coach Will Bell, Strength & Conditioning Coach Rob Norman and leading sports psychologist Tom Bates. Together, they explored not only race skills and physical preparation, but also mindset, motivation and understanding the ‘why’ behind performance. It was an incredibly valuable experience for our swimmers to learn directly from a world-class performance team and our continued partnership with the AP Race team.

THE LION’S DEN Junior Cross Country After two events were postponed due to the haze, it was wonderful to finally complete our Junior School Cross Country this week, with Years 3 and 5 taking to the course for their rescheduled races. Throughout the event, the children demonstrated one of our Tanglin Ten values in abundance: Embrace Challenge. Every child approached the event with their own individual target. For some, the challenge was to complete the whole course without walking; for others, it was to beat their personal best. For some of our Year 5 and Year 6 runners, the challenge was to push themselves even further and achieve a time that could earn them the opportunity to represent Tanglin at one of our upcoming school cross-country meets.

THE LION’S DEN Junior Cross Country Whatever the individual goal, every child deserves recognition for the effort, determination and resilience they showed. Cross country provides a wonderful opportunity for children to challenge themselves at their own level, and we were incredibly proud of the way they approached their races and supported one another along the way. Once all the races were completed and the points totalled, there could only be one overall winner. Congratulations to Claymore, our 2026 Junior School Cross Country champions! Most importantly, congratulations to every child who took part, embraced the challenge and gave their very best.
