Our recent Tanglin Lions Junior Spring Meet, which took place at Singapore Polytechnic was a resounding success, bringing together talented young athletes (from Tanglin Trust, UWC East, Dulwich College & Dover Court) for an unforgettable afternoon of competition and camaraderie. With events ranging from the explosive 60m sprint to the tactical 800m race, and the thrilling 4x100m relays, the meet delivered non-stop action and excitement.
The quality of competition was exceptional, with our Y5 and Y6 athletes pushing themselves and each other to achieve outstanding results. In the sprints (60m, 100m, and 200m), spectators were treated to photo-finish moments, while the 800m runners displayed remarkable endurance and strategy.
Perhaps the highlight of the day was the 4x100m relays, where teams demonstrated incredible coordination, speed, and teamwork, embodying the true spirit of the meet. What made the day truly special was the unmistakable spirit of friendship and sportsmanship. Whether cheering teammates, congratulating opponents, or working together in relay teams, these young athletes embodied the very best of school sport.
Congratulations to all who took part in this exciting meet – a day full of super results, great energy, and lasting memories.

U12's Dragons Football Tournament
On Saturday 26th April, our U12 Boys’ and Girls’ teams took part in the Dragons Invitational hosted by our friends at UWC East. Competing against teams from across Singapore, the event provided a fantastic opportunity to showcase the progress made throughout the season.
Boys’ Team
The boys played some outstanding attacking football, confidently moving the ball through the thirds with style and intelligence. Their performances combined flair, skill, and a clear sense of hard work and determination. Impressively, the team went the entire morning without conceding a single goal while scoring freely. The opposition coach in the final match was full of praise, remarking on the tremendous job the boys had done across the event.

Girls’ Team
On the girls' side, our players continued to demonstrate the core principles we've been embedding all season. They dominated possession in every game and created a wealth of chances. It has been particularly pleasing to witness each player's growing confidence and composure on the ball. Like their male counterparts, the girls did not concede a goal and were prolific in front of goal.
A huge thank you to Mr Baker and Mr Johnston Walker for giving up their Saturday morning to provide such a valuable experience for our players.
