Double Delight for Tanglin Lions in ActionPacked Touch Tournament

Last weekend, Tanglin played host to the Tanglin Lions Touch Tournament, welcoming 12 teams from across Thailand, local Singapore schools, and the international school community for two days of competitive Touch.

The standard of play throughout was excellent, with teams battling it out in sweltering conditions across both age groups. The U14 and U16 tournaments both produced hard fought finals, and it was a proud weekend for the home side as the Tanglin Lions claimed victory in both competitions.

A huge thank you to our parents for their continued support, it means the world to the players and the programme. And a very special thank you to Ms Shuyi, whose hard work and dedication in organising the tournament made the whole weekend possible.

A fantastic showcase of the sport, congratulations to all players and teams who took part.

Tanglin Speed Fiesta

The sun was out this morning for Tanglin’s annual Speed Climbing Fiesta where students test themselves on the speed wall, and we celebrate our departing Year 13 climbers who have given so much to the sport.

Tanglin’s speed lane uses the identical holds and placement to the IFSC Olympic standard, meaning our climbers get a real sense of how they compare to the world’s best. For context, the current world record for the 15m climb is an eye watering 4.54 seconds!

The girls stole the show, repeatedly breaking the school record before Heloise finally set the new benchmark at 28.96 seconds. It was an impressive feat, as the wall was slick from the night’s rain and then scorching under the rising sun a tough transition that tested every climber.

Staff weren’t left out either Mr Fourie improved the staff record with a time of 31.44, while Mr Herrick mad hi t b tti th fi

Tanglin Infant Gymnastics Showcase

Our Infant Gymnastics Showcase took place from 8 - 13 June (Monday to Saturday) during our infants' regular class sessions. We were delighted to welcome parents into the gym to watch their little ones proudly demonstrate what they have been learning throughout the year and perform to a dance too! The children enjoyed some free time to showcase their favourite skills and activities, making it a special experience for everyone.

A highlight of the Showcase was teaching parents the "Waka Waka" dance and seeing so many families join in the fun! Thank you for being such wonderful sports and for helping create such a joyful atmosphere.

We would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all our amazing families for your continued support throughout the year and for joining us at our Infant Showcase. We loved celebrating this special milestone with you and your child.

As the year comes to a close, the Gymnastics Team would like to thank you for being part of such a fantastic year of growth, learning, confidence, and fun.

We look forward to creating more wonderful memories together in the future!
