In the world of architecture, this garden room conservatory showcases the harmonious blend of nature and design We are excited to share the story of this project in collaboration with our partner, Grants Blinds, which has made a lasting impression on everyone who has visited it.
Our client's journey began with an unused outdoor patio, nestled next to a dark, neglected room that seldom saw use due to its lack of natural light. Their vision was clear: to transform this neglected space into a year-round haven, unlocking the full potential of their home
Inspired by our Small Greenhouse Conservatory, they aspired to replicate its charm while ensuring it harmonized seamlessly with their existing home. After a number of conversations with the family about their vision for this space, our designer wove key design elements from the Small Greenhouse Conservatory, with existing details of their home.
A few of the more notable design details are seen in the decorative window detailing, sapele mahogany frame, and crowned with a copper-clad roof and gutter system Shades were also incorporated in the design both for the roof and windows to allow for privacy and control the amount of sunlight entering the conservatory. Nestled against the house, as you walk out from the conservatory onto the patio, guests can admire the beautiful water view.
As the client expressed, "It is amazing how much adding this room has changed the way we use our house. The room adjoining the conservatory was always so dark, and we never spent much time in it until after the conservatory was added! Now, we find ourselves gravitating to the conservatory –it is simply spectacular."
This space is a living masterpiece, where every architectural nuance and floral detail blend harmoniously. Its panoramic views of the outdoors serve as a canvas for the ever-changing natural spectacle, captivating onlookers with each dawn and dusk
To achieve the perfect balance of aesthetics and functionality, we partnered with Grants Blinds, a leader in window treatments and shading solutions Grants Blinds provided the finishing touch to the conservatory, ensuring that its beauty could be enjoyed without compromising comfort If you are considering adding shades to your own enchanted space, we highly recommend reaching out to Grants Blinds for their expertise and innovative solutions.

Custom Conservatories & OrangThere's nothing quite like witnessing the transformation of your project into vibrant spaces that people can enjoy year after year The sheer joy of seeing our creations come to life and provide a lasting impact on those who experience them is immensely rewarding. On one of our most recent travels, we were able to stop by and revisit an old favorite of ours.
The Blu Grotto Conservatory Restaurant is a living testament to the magic of conservatories. Its glass walls allow sunlight to stream in, casting a warm, inviting glow that dances upon the dining tables. The beautiful green color of the conservatory creates an amazing atmosphere where guests can savor exquisite cuisine while surrounded by the soothing embrace of nature
Notice the detailing in the woodwork The hand-crafted columns blend into custom-made corbels followed by the curved details in the windows, acting as small archways for guests to enter and exit the restaurant. Lighting was very important and how we integrated them so it was tastefully and functionally executed.
It was great to revisit one of our previous projects and experience these conservatories in their natural element If you are ever in the area, think about grabbing a bite to eat at the Blu Grotto Conservatory!

Imagine stepping into a beautiful glass jewel, where sleek, clean lines converge to create a symphony of minimalist beauty. Every element is meticulously crafted, exuding a sense of refined simplicity that captivates the eye and calms the soul.
In the ever-evolving world of architecture and design, modern conservatories have emerged as exquisite marvels that seamlessly blend the beauty of nature with the comforts of contemporary living These architectural gems represent a harmonious convergence of classic conservatory aesthetics and cutting-edge technology, offering a sanctuary where the boundaries between the indoors and outdoors blur into a symphony of light, space, and nature.
Modern Conservatories & Orangeries: Simplicity as an Art Form
One of the things we appreciate about contemporary design is it embraces minimalistic elements, conveys a
subtle sophistication, and plays on textures and clean lines to transform a room into an art form itself – and when you pair those elements with an abundance of natural light moving about the room, it creates a symphony
Modern conservatories and orangeries are often used as sanctuaries where their tranquil atmosphere draws people to their presence. When working with our clients and partners on designing their conservatories, it is a fun, collaborative process that allows our clients to dream and embed a piece of themselves into the architecture of the room.
Take this Modern Steel Orangery for example. Created in partnership with Clites Architects PC, Fritz & Gignoux Landscape Architects, and Horizon Builders, the family spoke of a sunroom with a “grand star-shaped display of light gracefully beaming through the roof” To add to the elegance of the main house and seamlessly become part of the landscape, the design intent was to create an orangery with clean lines, blend with the interior of the house, could be easily opened up to the outdoors for entertaining, and has a subtle but tastefully integrated art feature that would create this exciting light movement the clients were looking for.
The main challenge with the desig minimize the amount of steel framing re the intricate shape: “We wanted the sky crystalline glass jewel in a minimalist se want the heavy steel framing that we t required.”
To achieve this minimalist setting, Tang solution was to eliminate all steel framin joints of the glass panels. The design u steel armature to support the form to between the glass panels free from th producing a multi-faceted jewel-like s with the full-height folding steel doors Tanglewood, the doors completely open to create an effortless merge between outdoors.
