How Do I View Submitted Jira Issues? Viewing an individual Issue

If you receive an email from Jira about an Issue, that email will contain a hyperlink that will take you straight to that Issue when clicked. Further, that email will also contain the issue key, a unique identifier e.g. ITS-96762 or IAM769. That key can come in very handy.

Viewing multiple Issues in a dashboard: the long way

Go to the Jira Help Center:https://tamusa.atlassian.net/servicedesk/customer/portals

. Once you're logged into the Help Center, click on the Requests button in the upper right:

You will get a menu with options: Created by me, Approvals, and All. Click on Created by me. This takes you to your Requests dashboard in the Help Center.

In the picture above, the area outlined in red shows the various filters you can use to show specific issues. Jira defaults to Open Issues, created by you. To display different sets of Issues, change these parameters.

Viewing Issues in a dashboard: the smart way

Using the method above, find a dashboard setting that meets your needs Copy the URL from the browser's address bar Store that URL as a bookmark/favorite in your browser's toolbar

In the dashboard, how can I find/view a specific Issue? Use the Request contains... field to search on a keyword or an issue key e.g. ITS-96762 or IAM-769.

What Issues should I be able to view?

If you are a Customer, you can see the Issue if: You are the Reporter or You are in the Request participants field or You are an Approver and the Issue is waiting on your approval. Once you approve, you will no longer be able to view it unless you are the Reporter or a Request Participant.

I can't see an Issue and I want to. What do I do?

If you know the Reporter or a Request Participant, ask them to please share the Issue with you. When you share an Issue with a user, you are essentially adding that user to the Request participants.

How do you share an Issue?

Go to the Issue in the Help Center Click on +Share and enter the name(s) of the people with whom you want to share the Issue.

Enterprise Project Management Office (ePMO) Campus TV Implementation ITS is working with Spectrum to expand our campus TV solution, to include 50 new TVs for open access areas. The content will include local channels, sports, and news. The solution is expected to be implemented in Spring, 2024.

CampusM Implementation

A&M-SA’s new JapApp is now available for download in the Apple Store and on Google Play. Phase 1 of the CampusM Implementation, new mobile app deployment, was completed in 2023. You can find more details on our Mobile App site. Phase 2 is in the Planning phase, to include new features on the mobile app including integrations with campus systems such as Banner and O365. A new CampusM web portal will replace JagWire by June 2024. Campus Stakeholders will be invited to provide input and feedback on the test environment in February, 2024.

Website Redesign Project

ITS and University Marketing and Communications have been working together on a comprehensive re-development of the University's website. The project team has engaged the website development firm, Cascade Factory, who specializes in our Cascade Content Management System (CMS) to assist with the project. The scope includes updated wireframes, front-end web design, adherence to the latest Accessibility Compliance Guidelines, improved navigation and user experience, and content migration. Recently, initial design iterations were shared with the A&M-SA President’s Cabinet for review and feedback. The project team is in progress of updating the design based on input from our campus leadership. Action items for campus stakeholders and a target date for implementation will be communicated in the

near future. If you have any questions, please contact the Enterprise Project Management Office at ITSPMO@tamusa.edu.

The General's Security Spot Technology has revolutionized the American school system, making education more accessible than ever before. However, the advancements and accessibility of various social media platforms continue to reveal new vulnerabilities and security gaps within the school threat landscape. In the United States, social media-based threats to school districts continue to rise; in 2022, school districts reported closing more frequently due to social media threats than for COVID-19 outbreaks. Since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, schools across the country have experienced an increase in threats of violence that originate on social media. In many incidents, these threats are unfounded, likely the result of a joke, hoax or prank by a student(s). Whether credible or not, a singular threat can lead to the spread of misinformation as well as an influx of threats in an area, possibly resulting in canceled events and an increased stress on the community, residents and resources. This cycle–interspersed with an actual increase in school violence– impacts the mental health of students, often resulting in psychological problems such as depression or anxiety. If you hear or see something involving the University, it is best to go to the source. The University posts on its website the status of any event that affects the University community. Do not pass along information that you cannot verify.
