THE ISLAND UNIVERSITY

1st gate door L IslandU

Where else can you blend daily work in classrooms and laboratories with evening walks along the beach on your own island? Yes, we’re a bit tropical, and the only university campus in the nation that expands along the edges of its own island. For many students, their choice to become an Islander comes after that first step onto campus. However, we’re more than beautiful scenery. The TAMU-CC campus offers five performance venues utilized by the department. Seaview Hall contains brand new, state-of-the-art spaces including a proscenium house with a full fly tower and seating for over 300, a generous black box theatre, scene shop, costume shop, and dance studio. The Performing Arts Center is home to the H-E-B Performance Hall, a 1,500-seat concert hall for regional, national, and international artists, including a full stage video wall. The Center for the Arts also houses two theatrical performance spaces.

THEATRE AT TAMU-CC At TAMU-CC, we are committed to your success as a “total theatre artist.” With an outstanding and highly acknowledged faculty, we are devoted to preparing you for the challenges of creating theatre in the 21st Century.
