2025-2030
We are proud to share Tampa Prep’s 2025-2030 Strategic Plan.
This Plan builds on the strong foundation established through our comprehensive 2020–2025 Strategic Plan, carrying forward its vision while responding to new opportunities and emerging challenges.
Grounded in our culture of innovation, this updated plan is designed to maximize the potential for futureready learning and growth for students by investing in our greatest asset—our faculty—through intentional recruitment, development, and support.
Guided by our mission and shared values, the 2025–2030 Strategic Plan strengthens our institutional culture, fosters excellence in teaching and learning, and positions our community to thrive in an evolving educational landscape.
I would like to thank the Strategic Plan Committee: Gail Bernucca, Dave Mishkin, Mili Patel, John “Bump” Fahey, and Matt Danahy, for their guidance, commitment and assistance in creating and finetuning this Strategic Plan.
With gratitude,

Head of School

Everything we do begins with our students. This strategic framework serves as the roadmap that will guide Tampa Prep’s decisions, investments, and growth through 2030.
Each strategic priority represents a vital part of our future, and together they create a connected vision for an exceptional educational experience.
By strengthening every area of our school community, we are preparing students not only for success in college, but for lives of purpose, leadership, and meaningful impact.

AI should be leveraged as a productivity tool, and we must provide guardrails for its appropriate and ethical use. Equip our students with Al adoption in the classroom without compromising individual critical thinking and creativity.
Determine and define what responsible integration of Al means at Tampa Prep.
Continue to ask, “What’s Next”, specifically regarding the use of technology (e.g., virtual and augmented reality).
World Class Teaching Facilities: Leverage our world-class teachers and teaching facilities and identify and rectify those facilities that are subpar (e.g., field house, athletic support facilities: locker rooms, weight and conditioning rooms). Leverage our BOLD building to expand our mission. Continue to creatively adapt and expand our facilities in a proactive manner fitting our ever-evolving city center location.
Preschool-5 Decision: Establish a PK-5 Committee comprised of members of all Prep stakeholders: senior admin, faculty, board members, parents, and (maybe) students. The following questions should be asked and answered: Should we? If so, can we? lf we can, then how?
• Identify the portrait of a tenured teacher at Tampa Prep and focus on recruiting leading talent to support our educational objectives and mission.
• Examine what measures, if any, may be put in place to incentivize faculty to remain at Prep.
• Continually evaluate the local housing environment as it broadly applies to existing and potential faculty and staff with an eye towards strategic partnerships and opportunities.
• One of our highest priorities must be to ensure the continuity of our outstanding faculty. Given the changing nature of the educational/teaching workforce, we must strive to augment and enhance Prep’s work environment and value proposition for faculty.
• We should continually re-evaluate our budget for faculty salaries and benefits, providing the Senior Administration with the best possible set of tools for maintaining and growing our best-in-class faculty.
• It is important to recognize the rapidly changing educational career track and understand that we have little control over individual personal circumstances that may impact faculty longevity at Tampa Prep.

Successfully sustaining our culture for 50+ years at three campuses is the foundation of who we are. Now more than ever we must continue to honor and cultivate the attributes that make a Terrapin throughout our entire community, including a continued focus on the following attributes:
• Critical Thinking
• Creativity
• Communication
• Collaboration
• Curiosity
• Character
• Citizenship
• Philanthropy
• Leadership
• Innovation
