A Student Center In a broader aspect is the facilities provided for students recreation and socializatio. It is clear so that people have no trouble comprehending what and who the building is for.

SITE ANALYSIS

The project’s site is located along the main route that leads into the university of Lagos, a federal university that is highly relevant and contributes highly to society in Lagos. The site is distinguished by its closeness to student dominated areas. Choosing the location represents an attractive factor for the University to raise curiousity The amphitheatre which currently stands on the site is to be integrated into the design. After the study of the study of the scope of the area, the following was concluded;

Site Access - Access to the site via vehicle is Majorly from the main University road, as the edge of the site is bordered to a large extent by it. The pedestrian access is majorly from north of the site.

2. Site Topography - The topography of the site is relatively flat, but from the main road to the site, there is a significant difference in level.

The Project Site 4. Site Climate - The Climate of the region is a Tropical wet and dry climate and due to it featuring very close to the lagoon there is an increase in humidity.

5. Site Noise - The major source of noise road and the buildings surrounding it.

PROJECT OBJECTIVE From the original student center as an ideal leisure to the fusion of fun and focus, student centers have evolved with changing student demographics and updated educational pedagogy.

‘The campus that is home for the whole school and everyone in it. Therefore, as per between the academic area, dining area, fitness area and the sleeping area - where else do people have to just relax and feel at home?

MY CONCEPT PROPOSITION IS TO STRENGTHEN THE EXPERIENTIAL AND SYMBOLIC RELATIONSHIPS BETWEEN LARGE BLOCKS USING A COURTYARD SPACES AS INSPIRED BY THE AMPHITHEATRE, SERVING AS AN ENTRANCE TO THE STUDENT CENTER, THE UNIVERSITY OF LAGOS’ “LIVING ROOM.”
