These are exciting times at Tamarack—so many good things have happened in the past year and many more things to look forward to in the weeks and months ahead. We continually strive to deliver abundant, accessible experiences and modern amenities that make Tamarack the premier resort community in the West and the only ski, golf, and lake resort in the U.S. Momentum Continues To Build – There’s so much going on here, in terms of amenity development and new living opportunities. In fact, there has never been a better time to buy at Tamarack than right now. We have the first nine holes of the Signature Robert Trent Jones II Championship golf course open and all 18 will be open for play in July 2024. The first phase of the Village is complete which consists of 6 buildings and 400,000 square feet of residential and commercial space and serves as a community hub featuring restaurants, shopping, and entertainment. And the Club at Tamarack has launched, initially offering Members a private lounge, fitness facility, as well as other on-mountain amenities like the new Sugar Shack and an exclusive members-only priority access lift line for the Tamarack Express. The Club’s future 15,000 square foot members-only clubhouse is already designed and we anticipate construction to begin within the next 24-36 months as The Club meets its membership threshold requirements. CLUB DIRE CTOR JEFF KEM PTHORN E As the Director of the Tamarack Club, Jeff will have his hands in all of Member activities and programming that make Tamarack such a dynamic resort, season after season, month after month. If you know Jeff, you know that his passion is tangible. He truly loves what he does and his vision for the Tamarack Club is inspiring. Since he got here, he has sought to elevate the overall Homeowner Experience here. We recently had a chance to talk with Jeff and ask home what he’s been up to and what is in the works for 2024 and beyond.

Q. JEFF, YOU STARTED AS CLUB DIRECTOR EARLY THIS YEAR. WHAT’S IT BEEN LIKE AND WHAT HAVE YOU FOCUSED ON? A. It’s been busy! And it’s also been a lot of fun. Tamarack is such an incredible place for homeowners and their families and guests. This is truly an all-season resort so each season brings its own distinct opportunities for recreation and fun. We really want to take advantage of those seasonal outdoor activities by creating memorable experiences for our Members. At the same time, we are going to establish ongoing programming and monthly events that Members can enjoy on a consistent basis. Q. GIVE US AN EXAMPLE OF THOSE ONGOING ACTIVITIES. A. We have established ongoing programing in a number of areas: book club, poker night, game night, wine club, culinary and mixology classes…family dinner night, activities for kids and the family…yoga and fitness classes. We also will schedule outdoor excursions depending on the season, such as fly fishing, steelhead fishing, snowmobiles, sideby-sides, back country fly-ins, hunting...seasonal live performances for members such as concerts, comedians, improv, murder mystery dinner...you name it! Q. THIS AREA OFFERS A LOT OF OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES, WHAT WAS YOUR EXPERIENCE WITH IDAHO AND THE MOUNTAINS PRIOR TO YOUR CURRENT JOB HERE? A. Well I grew up in Idaho, I’m a native. I spent my childhood and teenage years enjoying the mountains and I really got know Valley County well. I love what it offers people and families of every age and interest. The mountain lifestyle is truly dynamic and year-round. At Tamarack I want to help people connect with those recreational opportunities, as well as connect in a more meaningful way within the Tamarack community itself through robust membership programs.

Q. TELL US ABOUT THE MEMBERSHIP OPTIONS FOR HOMEOWNERS. A. We have two: the Full Golf membership and the Sport membership. They both include the Boundless Family Pass and family privileges at the resort. The Full Golf includes a Vertical Family, meaning anyone up-and-down the family line (older and younger) can enjoy Ski privileges. Full Golf also grants unlimited golf year-round, as the name implies, obviously. However, we also offer a Charter Sport Membership that is somewhat customizable for a specific season, for example you can get an unlimited golf for the season. The bottom line is we try to accommodate everyone. So I want to help customize a membership package that fits the unique needs of each family or individual. Come talk to me. I’m always excited to put someone in an ideal Membership program for them so they can maximize their Tamarack Club experience. Q. THAT SOUNDS PRETTY INCLUSIVE… A. I should also add that there are other benefits to Membership, including a discount on all food and drinks…that applies to both Sport and Full Golf. Also, the Fitness Program applies to both. Our new Members-Only Club Fitness Center is now open and includes top of the line cardio and weights, as well as strength training machines, free weights plus cable machines, half racks, dumbbells, and full-subscription Pelotons (with hundreds of programs). And, of course, we will have regular yoga classes, group fitness, boot camps, and conditioning classes that can be tailored to a sport or resort activity…like skiing or golf or hiking, etc. Q. THAT’S A LOT OF STUFF FOR MEMBERS—A LOT OF VARIED ACTIVITIES AND PROGRAMMING. I KNOW THE GOAL IS TO MAKE SURE EACH FAMILY HAS THE MEMBERSHIP THAT’S RIGHT FOR THEM. A. That’s exactly right. THE CLU B AT TAMA RAC K FITN ESS CENTER We are excited to announce the opening of this new state-of-the-art Fitness Facility created exclusively for Members, member families, and their guests. Located in the Village—across the street from the Members Lounge (conveniently)—the Fitness Center is a meticulously-crafted 2,000 square feet facility with a contemporary design including oversized windows that allow abundant natural light. “The new Fitness Center is a great addition for Club Members. It gives us the opportunity to enhance and elevate our fitness facilities by offering more space, more classes and programs, and some state-of-the-art equipment machines that are ideal for anyone, regardless of age or level of fitness. We look forward to soon rolling out custom programming that will appeal to the needs and expectations of our Members and their families.” • Jeff Kempthorne, Club Director The Fitness Facility is open seven days a week and will offer a variety of scheduled programming: yoga classes, group fitness, bootcamps, and conditioning classes that can be tailored to a sport or resort activity, like skiing or golfing or hiking. A ROBERT TRENT JONES II MASTERPIECE With nine holes already completed and in play, it’s not too early to designate this championship golf course one of the finest in the West. Sculpted naturally into the landscape—in a stunning meadow, lined with Ponderosa pines—Osprey Meadows is a classic “everyday” course designed for players of all skill levels. The final nine holes will be completed in 2024, along with a 19th Gambler’s Hole. Bordering a bird sanctuary, the course gives linksters panoramic views of the mountains and lake. This month we had the pleasure of speaking with Holly and Robert Drinkard.

1 . W H E N D I D Y O U F I R S T D I S C O V E R TA M A R A C K ? We learned about it from our kids actually. I am from Napa and the kids have been skiing in and around Boise growing up. At some point, from some of their friends, they heard about this “hidden gem” up in the mountains about 90 miles away. So we checked it out and bought our first Annual Ski Pass about 16 years ago.

2 . W H E N D I D YO U B E C O M E H O M E OW N E R S ? Two years ago, in 2021. I’m a realtor so I had been looking all around for mountain retreats and communities and Tamarack has everything we wanted. We all knew it was the place for us…for Robert and I, and all the kids. We have three that are serious skiers and one that likes the hiking, outdoor recreation, and all the summer activities. Even my mother loves it—she’s into pickleball!

3 . I T S O U N D S L I K E TA M A R A C K H A S B E E N P A R T O F Y O U R L I V E S F O R S O M E T I M E ? It has. The reason for that is that it’s so multi-generational. Our kids have enjoyed it even from a young age. The older they get—and that we all get—it has activities and programming for everyone. And it’s year-round, each season there is fun.

4 . W H AT A R E S O M E O F Y O U R F AV O R I T E T H I N G S A B O U T TA M A R A C K ? Well the skiing, outdoor sports, and the new golf course is great. But it’s not just one thing— it’s the whole package. They’re always having events and programming…like yoga classes and wine pairing meals. The fitness facilities and classes are great. And the dining—we love the variety. Our kids have their spots and Robert and I have ours. The two of us love The Reserve. The atmosphere and the cuisine are equally great. Their staff is top notch—and they’ve managed to retain so many people over the years, it feels like a family. We have also met so many people dining or having drinks, fellow owners as well as visitors.

5 . S P E A K I N G O F P E O P L E , W H AT ’ S I S T H E C O M M U N I T Y L I K E AT TA M A R A C K ? It’s a great, diverse community of people who have all kinds of interests and enjoy different activities. It’s easy to find “your group” up here, no matter what you are into activity-wise. There are skiers and golfers and boaters and nature lovers and so on. I think the best way to describe the community of people here is “fun.” Everyone seems to be in a good mood and having fun up here. It’s like a different world. It’s just a great atmosphere with great folks. 6. ANY FINAL WORDS OR THOUGHTS FOR PEOPLE WHO M I G H T N O T K N O W A B O U T TA M A R A C K ? Go visit! Take a tour. See it with your own eyes. There is so much to love here and so much to do. They also have great accommodations depending upon what you’re looking for…at every price point. That’s the realtor in me talking. But we were also regular visitors here for years before we bought so I know. They hit multiple price points and have everything from studio residences and condos to villas to multi-bedroom homes. And any time is a good time to come—spring, summer, fall, winter. There’s always something going on. But you have to come see it with your own eyes to really understand that.
