JANUARY UPDATE

Happy 2023! As we head into a new year, it is always a good time to reflect on the past and look forward to a bright future. The scenic views and modern residences at Tamarack Resort have made it one of the most indemand destinations in the entire North-West, as well as being touted as North America’s newest all-season destination resort. Tamarack’s all-season getaway in Valley County, west-central Idaho, has enjoyed an unprecedented demand during the last two years, with sales transactions for homes and condos up 47% in 2022, and overall resale volume up 30%.

In our ever-changing market, there are several reasons for this demand. Aside from the population explosion in nearby Boise in recent decades, according to the US census, the number of people working remotely between 2019 and 2021 tripled from 5.7% (about 9 million people) to 17.9% (27.6 million).

Residents in four-season settings like Tamarack can trade the commute and business suit for nature, tranquility, and an after-work ski session, kayaking, or hike.

With 10,000 baby boomers retiring daily, looking to spend their leisure years in comfort, sur-rounded by nature, Tamarack Resort is an obvious choice. Strong appreciation and 3,600-acre nature-resplendent backyards, brimming with four seasons’ worth of activities, mean their families can enjoy visiting and inherit a tremendous multi-generational asset one day.

1. Donnelly is known as the crossroads to recreation, what would you say is your favorite way to recreate?

My favorite way to recreate in Donnelly is to go out boating with friends and family during the summer.

2. Where would we find your favorite view point in Tamarack?

Besides summit’s well-known viewpoint, my second favorite view point on Tamarack is along Showtime Return. About halfway down there is a beautiful view point looking South. Rather than looking down the mountain, you are looking along Tamarack’s Mountain with the lake and meadow in full view.

3. Winter is here, so what are some of your favorite (and least favorite) winter traditions?

My favorite tradition is to go and enjoy a soak in the local hot springs after a long day of snowboarding. My least favorite tradition is late-night Black Friday shopping. I have become an online Cyber Monday shopper.

4. If you could learn to do anything, what would it be? It has been a lifelong dream to learn a foreign language. I am currently working toward this dream and studying the Spanish language.

5. What would you name the autobiography of your life?

Living where People Vacation, the ultimate guide to all-season happiness

6. In your opinion what’s the coolest design trend you are seeing in homes today?

It’s hard to say the coolest design trend that I am seeing in homes today, especially with so many amazing personality-driven designs. Some of my favorites are using lighting as art, creative accent colors, and my overall favorite is all the different uses of texture!

7. If you had to eat one meal, every day for the rest of your life, what would it be?

Sushi! There are so many different variations, it could never get old!

8. Lastly, what is your favorite thing about working in real estate?

My favorite part about real estate, especially at Tamarack, is meeting lots of people in the community and creating life long friendships.
