rockwood soy The crisp air, the beautiful colors, and the anticipation of another cozy winter – autumn is my favorite season for so many reasons. I love spending my evenings snuggled up on the couch with Winnie in my lap while Coco covets his spot directly in front of the fireplace. It’s a few moments of perfect peace after the sunset that comes earlier and earlier each day.

Autumn is a season of change, and this year, there are many exciting new things to share with you! My favorite new scent, Cinnamon Custard Cake, captures the spicy sweetness of a day spent baking our favorite holiday treats; and burning an Autumn Spice candle is the perfect way to set the mood for fallen leaves and chilly nights.

But the addition that I love the most is our collection of tea light warmers hand-painted by local artists right here in Pennsylvania.

Our Signature Warmer for 2015 features a design that captures the spirit of Rockwood Soy – and you’ll find two special visitors on the porch, keeping watch over the farm.

I’m also thrilled to unveil new ways that we’re supporting our mission to help shelter animals. You’ll see that with our introduction of Biscuit Melts and Room Sprays, we’ve created a one-for-one donation structure so we can give even more to shelters and rescues in a way that you can really see. With millions of animals entering shelters in the U.S. every year, I’m so thankful that we have the opportunity to raise awareness for this cause and offer support for their care.

WHY SOY Soy wax was originally chosen by us as a way to eliminate the black soot that is released by burning traditional wax. It’s true that if you take proper care of the wick, you won’t see any black soot from our all-natural soy candles. But the discovery of this incredible wax meant so much more.

Soy wax contains zero toxins, and is completely free of chemicals, like arsenic and benzene, found in traditional wax. With the same size wick, soy wax also burns slower and provides better value.

What we’re most proud of is that our wax is renewable and easily harvested entirely from farms in the USA. This means that our wax products offer an environmentally friendly alternative to traditional waxes and each purchase helps to support American farmers.

there are a few natural alternatives to paraff in wax, but in doing research, we discovered that soy is the best wax for the environment because it is both renewable and easily harvested.

OUR CAUSE There are over seventy million homeless pets in the United States. Only about seven million make it to shelters each year, and almost half of those are euthanized because of a lack of space to keep them.

Rockwood Soy Co. was established as a way to generate income that can be donated to those shelters and rescue organizations. We also do our best to raise awareness of the option to adopt your next best friend from a local shelter or rescue.

This year, we’ve introduced a one-for-one donation structure with our Biscuit Melts, Room Sprays, and Donation Bundle. The purchase of each Melt will provide a treat to a homeless pet and with each ounce of room spray sold, we’ll donate an ounce of kennel care product to a shelter. We will also provide a toy to a homeless pet for every Donation Bundle purchased from page 10.

Look for this icon throughout the catalog to signify an item where a special donation is made for each one you purchase. The more you buy, the more we can give.

Created to feature an aspect of Rockwood Soy, it captures the sunrise over a farm while two little dogs enjoy the scene from the farmhouse porch.
