Marina Day at Alcudia Mar Thousands of people visited the open day at Alcudiamar last weekend with about 500 enjoying the free activities that were on offer. At 10am registration for boat trips, sailing, parasailing and other activities opened by 11am, the reservations were full. Celebrating Marina Day, an initiative of Anade (the Nautical Sport Association of the Balearics), alongside Port Adriano, the aim was to promote nautical activities and marinas in the region. Alcudiamar hosted a flea market and a marquee with music and food and drink, where there was also a tapas competition. Joan Crespí, captain of the port, told press that “It is important to attract boating fans; nautical tourism has a promising future for our community attracting a type of tourist with high purchasing power who enjoy exploring the places they travel to.”
