I feel overwhelmed by the wonderful support and goodwill we have had over the years, from our very first concert at Australia House with dramatic contralto, Liane Keegan in 1992, to today. A major Australian scholarship holder, Liane‟s arrival in the UK in that year prompted me to think about how we might set about trying to help talented young Australians arriving to study and work in Europe, and thus the Tait Trust was born.
Over the past 25 years we, and our sister organization, The Tait Performing Arts Association, in Australia have given many of our Awardees concert platform opportunities here in London, and in Australia. I look forward to our next quarter century. How many more young artists will we support? Watch this space!
