Rock Collection by Arik Levy
Introduction
With his signature innovative material sensibility, Arik Levy has created a new and unique carpet series for Tai Ping – the Rock Collection. This collection, which translates its geological inspiration into compelling multi-dimensional designs, is illustrative of the designer’s latest interpretation of the Rock motif as well as the depth of Tai Ping‘s design and manufacturing savoir–faire. This experimental design collection utilizes innovative yarns and blends art, architecture and design into one — core assets of the Tai Ping brand. The collection represents a combination of cutting-edge design and timeless quality, and is multi-purpose as well. The designs of the Rock collection are available in a variety of qualities, including hand-tufted, pass-tufted and Axminster, making this collection customisable for any project, from boutique contract to private residences. Arik Levy has designed products for Baccarat, Vitra, Ligne Roset Baccarat, Lanvin and Boucheron. He has won numerous competitions including the Janus Award for Industry, Design and Innovation 2007, the Design PLUS Award 2006, and was a finalist for the furniture designer of the year for Wallpaper Design Awards 2007.
