ART TOWN

Culture has been shown to have a positive effect on health and well-being. Nature contributes to health as well. In the Art Town of Mänttä-Vilppula, you can combine these two in the best way possible. You can enjoy both nature and cultural experiences in the form of visual arts, music, and literature in the same trip. Come along to our fantastic events and stay the night to experience everything our town has to offer! We have compiled all the cultural services and nature sites of Mänttä-Vilppula into one brochure. All services can be found at visittaidekaupunki.fi.
The Art Town is once again full of culture, events, and exhibitions! The Serlachius Headquarters reopens in June with the new Patrons exhibition, which tells the story behind Mänttä’s art collection. The Serlachius Manor, on the other hand presents, for example, the Masks exhibition. The Mänttä Art Festival brings out the diversity of contemporary art and the Mänttä Music Festival the top artists of the piano world. Check out also the Kuvataiteen valtakunta (´Realm of Fine Arts´) exhibition of graduating visual artists. In Vilppula you can get to know the wartime history of Mänttä-Vilppula this summer. July culminates in the MOM event week as well as the new MäViFest festival.
