TAI Modern has been the world’s premier gallery for contemporary Japanese bamboo art for over 20 years. The gallery represents more than 40 bamboo artists, as well as select American artists working in a variety of media. The gallery opens its summer exhibition schedule with Oki Toshie’s solo exhibition.
Oki Toshie (b. 1976) is a self-proclaimed introvert who, instead of using words, expresses herself through her artwork. Her strongest desire is to create works that will move the hearts of viewers.
