HORSEMANSHIP CAMPS Each camp generally has four students and each student will have their own horse for the week. Students may ride either English or Western style. Camps are offered in three different levels; Levels 1 and 2 are for beginner to intermediate riders and Level 3 is for advanced riders. Please note that completing one level will not automatically qualify a student for the next level. Morning sessions run from 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. and afternoon sessions from 1 – 4 p.m. Cost: All levels — members $385, guests $410, public $435

Purchasing or Selling a Home?

LEVEL 1 This camp is for beginners with little or no riding experience. Students will learn the basics of handling, grooming, tacking up, and riding at the walk and trot. Students may repeat Level 1 (or take additional private lessons) until they are ready for Level 2. Instructor’s approval is needed before advancing to Level 2. LEVEL 2 This camp is a continuation of Level 1 and is intended for beginner riders with some experience and confidence under their belts. To qualify for this level, students should be able to fully control their horse at the walk and be comfortable at the trot. When students are fully in control at the trot they will begin learning how to lope/canter. This camp is our most popular and covers the widest range of riding abilities. Students generally take Level 2 multiple times; in each session their instruction will be suited to their ability and confidence levels. Instructor’s approval is needed before advancing to Level 3. LEVEL 3 This camp is for our most advanced riders and is intended for children ages 12 and up (exceptions may be made for qualified younger riders). Riders may come from English or Western backgrounds and must be in full control at the walk, trot and canter. Subject matter in this camp will vary depending on student’s abilities and interest.
