Official Announcement – New Chief Administrative Officer (CAO)

The Tahltan Central Government is pleased to announce the appointment of Teneal Nole as our new Chief Administrative Officer (CAO).

Teneal brings over 17 years of experience in administration and holds a master’s degree in business administration Additionally, she has over 25 years experience working in Tahltan Territory and engaging with all four Tahltan entities the Tahltan Band, Iskut Band, Tahltan Central Government, and Tahltan Nation Development Corporation. Her extensive expertise includes managing a housing program operated as an independent business and as well as overseeing and coordinating family support programs as well as working within the education sector and office administration.

In her previous roles as Office Administrator for the Tahltan Nation Development Corporation, Teneal exemplified strong leadership aligned with our collective goals. She has served as a counselor for the Iskut Band and represented the Etheni Family on the TCG Board of Directors. Currently, she holds the position of Vice Chair of the Tahltan Nation Development Corporation. In a commendable decision that prioritizes the interests of both organizations, Teneal has chosen to resign from the Tahltan Nation Development Corporation Board to dedicate her efforts fully to her responsibilities at TCG.

Teneal’s commitment to the Tahltan Nation is evident through her leadership style and educational pursuits, including her recent MBA from Simon Fraser University and ongoing studies in Human Resources through Aboriginal Financial Officers Association of Canada. She holds a strong belief in capacity building and is eager to elevate our communities and foster the growth of our territory.

With her leadership experience and dedication to community development, Teneal will play a key role in advancing the strategic goals of the Tahltan Central Government and strengthening programs that serve our people.

We would also like to take this opportunity to extend our sincere gratitude to Kerry Carlick for his dedication and commitment as Interim CAO. His leadership and efforts during this transition period have been invaluable, and we deeply appreciate his contributions to the organization. Kerry will be returning to his role as Fisheries Manager where he will continue to contribute his expertise and commitment to the success of our fisheries department.
